The Industrial Revolution began in England during the late 1700’s. This movement introduced improved agricultural methods, textile industries, and the export of machine-made goods. Because the agricultural business was finding more efficient ways to manage their products, the working class decreased in this field (Document 7). This extreme drop in numbers led to people whining for a steady, supportive job. Luckily for the thousands of unemployed, the demand for factory workers increased (Document 2).

In late 1800’s the Industrial revolution started to begin. Since products were being mass produced, the clothes and other products got sold quickly and cheaply since everyone had a sufficient amount, they needed to find new customers/market so they went to Africa looking to sell their product and I thought the 3 main reasons for this Industrial revolution leading to imperialism are economics, political, and religion. In the 1800’s The Industrial Revolution led into Imperialism and Economics was one of the main causes. There are many reasons to back this claim up to like in (Document B) “Purely financial considerations also characterized the new imperialism.

The Industrial Revolution began in England in the 1700’s. England was the starting point of the Industrial Revolution for many reasons. It started not just because they had the right resources but they had true grit. The revolution boomed because England had the right resources, the workers came running for work and inventions were made to make the process of the work, flow a lot faster and more efficient. First, England had the right resources to help advance their society which in return let them start the Industrial Revolution.

The Industrial Revolution affected people in different ways both by bad and good effects. The Industrial revolution was a good and a bad time with both positive and negative things happening during this time. There were plenty of positive effects on the Industrial Revolution. In Document 7 it says about how there was equal rights for men and women. In document 3 employment grew a lot which is good so people could get more jobs.

The Industrial Revolution began in Great Britain because of its geographical qualities, new change within their social structure, and economical concepts formed at the time. I will be discussing how Great Britain's many rivers, accessibility to trading with neighboring countries, and multiple territories helped them begin the revolution. As well as, how the addition of one social class, and their big divide between classes influenced the beginning of industrialization. Lastly, I will talk about how economical concepts like mercantilism, capitalism, and communism sparked this new era of the world. So in other words, there are many reasons as to why the Industrial Revolution began in Great Britain.

Henceforth trade became more efficient and faster paced in correspondence with the high productivity of the factories. “(Before the Industrial Revolution), one person doing all five required steps in manufacturing a product can make one unit, (but during the Industrial Revolution), five people, each specializing in one of the five steps, can make ten units in the same time” (Document 4). Tristan wrote in her journal saying, ““Most workers lacking clothing, bed, furniture, fuel, wholesome food- even potatoes!” (doc 3) This quote helps understand how poor the living conditions were because simple necessities of clothing and wholesome food were lacking in the labors lifestyles. The living conditions were so poor in industrialized areas that death rates at younger ages were occurring. This is shown in document 5 through the British medical journal, edited by Thomas Wakley a medical reformer.

From 1790 to the late 1800’s, the Industrial Revolution recreated industry as Europe knew it with ground-breaking inventions and mass-producing factories. The Industrial Revolution widened the social gap with the bourgeoisie on a pedestal and the proletariat baring the weight of being the work class that would make the Industrial Revolution happen; this strife would lead to many riots and revolutions across Europe as many men like Karl Marx would develop solutions to the proletarian’s problems such as communism. The question arose of how the proletariat were to rebel against the bourgeoisie. The fact was that a revolution was inevitable.

In the late 18th century, a few small, relatively simple inventions from England started an Industrial Revolution that forever changed the way people consumed and produced products. Machines such as the water frame and cotton gin made textile production much faster and more profitable. This industrialization spread to almost every area of industry, from transportation to agriculture, where new inventions were springing up and it would be only a short time before they were implemented in the new industrial world. To take advantage of the many new jobs created by these machines, people moved in large numbers from rural areas into cities where factories were set up. The Industrial Revolution started in eighteenth century Britain. There were innovative advances in society that led to the faster production of goods. Due to this major advancement, agriculturalists needed to leave their property and urbanize to what became bustling cities. The most plentiful occupation that required workers were the frightening industrial facilities. These horrid factories changed the lives of these farmers compelling them to work over a dozen hours in a day.

During the age of Industrial, many immigrants were used to maintain the balance of the world. Because many immigrants didn’t know English, the life of America was hard for them. Many of the immigrants were able to get jobs, but work was everything for them. Many of the immigrants were put in tenement housing, used to mass produce, and helped one person monopoly the country. Because of these things, the success of the Industrial Revolution was not worth the cost.

The industrial revolution from 1750 to 1900 had a large impact on everyone globally. It positively transformed economies and allowed more efficient technology to come to light. Even though this revolution originated in Europe, its effects spread to many states. Lots of countries that surround Europe were forced to follow along with this sudden change to maintain the competitiveness and stability of the region. States tend to respond with new technology or industrial methods while others are against this change.

The Industrial Revolution was overall a negative thing because if forced childhood labor, caused the environment to fail, and it brought many negative effects onto the people. The Industrial Revolution brought a big change upon the society, one example is childhood labor. Children were forced to work and were often severely injured because of the factory work they were assigned to do. In Document 10 it speaks about how severe these injures can get.

The Industrial Revolution was a horrific time in the 1700s by the fact that it caused bad pollution and children would be worn out at the end of their work day. The greatest aspect of industrialization was that the kids and adults had good surroundings. “Of these there are 500 children who are entirely fed, clothed, and educated by Mr.Dale” (Document 6). The quote is evidence that shows the kids were well cared for.
