I grew up surrounded by different languages in Switzerland. I am completely fluent in German, French, Spanish and English.
You probably question yourself: “what is this person doing in studying Dentistry if she has the brain for languages.” well, about 6 years ago I asked myself the same question. My first choice after High school was to study health, after a year I stopped my studies at the “Fachmittelschule” in Switzerland. This decision gave me the opportunity to learn about jobs where you must use your language

This is when I felt the urge in going back to college and get to a career that matches my interests as well as my skills.
On my journey to discover my dream career, I met with the career adviser a few times. Afterwards, I did some career research and gained some work experience as a Healthcare Assistant and as a Dental Nurse.
Two jobs which involved health and people, similar but practicable in different ways. Those experiences made me realise that I have clearly found the field in which I would like to specialise in.
Currently I am working towards the Access to Science at the Bournemouth & Poole college, finishing in summer 2016 as well as working part time as a qualified Dental Nurse at the Wallisdown Dental Practice in Bournemouth. I have also developed my knowledge academically whilst doing my L2 Maths, L2 English, L3 Dental diploma and now the Access to HE in
The career that fascinates me and what I plan to be when Im older, is a Dental Hygienist. A dental hygienist is a stressful job, but it helps a lot of people. You are helping people get better teeth and even look better, because when people have straight pretty teeth, they seem to have an upgrade in their looks. I haven’t always wanted to be a dental hygienist, I had many other career choices. But, something about making people smile when I’m the reason they look good doing it makes me happy.
I started going back to what I was really passionate about, Interior Designing. There were two people in my life that made me want to be a Dental Hygienist; my cousin Angie and a church friend, Lacey. Dental Hygienists meet the needs of the patients by working cooperatively with the dentist and

To Accomplish Great Things To Help Ohers “To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe,” (France). Stephanie Galindo is a hard working women who first picked to be a physical therapist studying and working at a nursing home thinking she was going to stay there till she finished school. During the months working there, a young girl about 8 years old visited her grandmother. As she started talking to Stephanie she asked why she did that and what got her thinking about being a physical therapist. She then told the young girl she didn’t want to be a physical therapist but a dental hygienist just for the fact of seeing people happy.
Imagine the whole world having perfect, clean shiny teeth. Imagine being the one to make this happen. This would not be able to occur if it weren’t for dental hygienists. Dental hygienists are the reason why people have the confidence to smile. Dental hygiene is a great career choice for anyone willing to help people’s physical appearance and health.
Growing up children have think they know what they want to be when they grow up but as they progress and get older they’re ideal career changes for the most part based on the changes they go threw themselves and experiences. For example I wanted to be an Actress because I would to watch the a lot of movies on the daily basis but then as I got older that changed, my ideal job now is have a good paying job and not have to work excess hours. I Chose Dental assisting because the dentistry field has a lot to offer I have always wanted to work in the health field and unlike medical nursing, Dental Assistants have more control of their schedule also they have a wide variety of options from working in private offices to working in public health departments also offers good hours, pay and
The career field that I have chosen to go into is the medical field. In the medical field I would like to become a dental hygienist. The background that I have on dental hygienist is that you exam gums, clean teeth, and teach about oral care. The research that I have already done on this profession is a dental hygienist annual salary and required hour of work. Some more research I utilized is how many years of college are needed, what you do while at work, and if you work by yourself or who you work with.
When we were all younger, most of us had an idea of what we wanted to be when we grew up. Whether it was a firefighter or president, we all had our future planned out. But once we got older and entered high school, plans changed. For me personally, I changed my mind a couple of times before I made a decision about what I wanted to do with my life. I decided that I wanted to go to Parkland College and get my degree in Dental Hygiene.
My Education goals are why I chose APUS, When I graduated from high school in 2014 I started my ROP Dental Assisting program to become a Certified Dental assistant in the state of California so that I could get my foot in the door in Dentistry to one day become a Dental Hygienist. But now here I am two years later working as a full time dental assistant and I have no passion or desire in pursuing in becoming a Hygienist because its not something I feel I could really be happy with and do for the rest of my life. My real passion has always been with children I have always loved working with children weather it was when I was working at a daycare in high school or when I was a cheerleading coach for young girls between the ages of 4-9, I have

I have decided to become a nurse practitioner to help aid those who are in need and be helpful to people who can only speak Spanish. Communication is key when it comes to health, therefore if I am able to personally understand a patient’s need it will lead to a higher satisfaction among Spanish-speaking patients. I have always found the health field interesting and fascinating, so I strongly feel becoming a nurse practitioner is the best for me. Volunteering at a health clinic made me experience what it is like to work with patients and confirmed it is what I want to do as a career. It feels amazing to do something good for the people in the community which is why I am excited to see what the future
My ambition to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy at University commenced in my teenage years, when I first came to London and visited the dentist. The professional approach coupled with a kind and compassionate nature and all of the different instruments and scientific technology the Dental Hygienist and Therapist used fascinated me. I am currently studying Dental Nursing at Teesside University. This course involves providing correct support to the dentist at the chair side, reassuring and supporting patients, maintaining a gold standard clinical environment, charting, dental anatomy and physiology. Studying this course has enhanced my knowledge of dental terminology and procedures as well as the anatomy of the oral cavity.
I thought I knew what career path I wanted for my future, with that in mind, I sought a degree in Fitness and Human Performance to continue with a career in Occupational Therapy. In this career choice, the way I got to help patients was through therapy. While taking classes, I realized Occupational Therapy is not what I truly was passionate about. I decided to take my mother’s advice and choose what I truly love to do, which is to help people all around and I believe the nursing program would be the best fit. I am currently completing my certified nurse program to proceed with a job as a patient care technician.
I also participated in a blood donation scheme and visited the old folks home. These experienced confirmed my calling and my passion for dentistry and I am sure that this will motivate me to strive the next goal in my journey of education. I am a very disciplined individual. I plan my paths and set my goals so that I am motivated in achieving them. In addition to that, I am also determined and I am willing to work the extra mile in achieving everything I want to achieve.
Career Autobiography There are many things that I feel have led me to year number two of graduate school pursuing a career as a school counselor. For I while I tried to convince myself that a career in school counseling was not for me and ultimately everything led me here. My mother has been a school counselor for the last 25 years and I grew up watching her do something she loved. I went to school everyday and watched my mother make a positive impact on many of my classmates and this left a very lasting impression on me.
