Can a depressed, eager man be the reason for the deaths of many people he cared for? Romeo Montague, son of the Montagues was a very narcissistic, self-centered, egotistical individual. Nevertheless, the most blameworthy character for all the deaths in Romeo and Juliet is the son of lord Montague, Romeo Montague. Romeo Montague is the most to blame for all the deaths in Romeo and Juliet. Romeo Montague should have not been so emotional and selfish about the events that happened in his life. When Romeo says, “Aye me! Sad hours seem long” (Act 1 Scene 1), he is mourning over how Rosaline doesn’t love him the way he loves her. Tybalt says, “This, by his voice , should be a Montague fetch me my rapier,boy. What! Dares the slave come hither, cover'd with an arctic face” (Act 1 Scene 5). Tybalt says this because he believed that Romeo was going to make fun of the Capulets. However this lead to Tybalt wanting to kill Romeo. Tybalt searched for Romeo but found Benvolio and Mercutio. Mercutio clashed with Tybalt because Romeo wouldn’t and died, the cause for Mercutio’s death was because Romeo wouldn’t fight Tybalt so Mercutio did. That lead to Romeo getting distraught and fighting Tybalt and killing him. Romeo then got exiled from the town. When Juliet found out that Romeo got exiled, she mourned because he was her spouse. Friar Lawrence gave Juliet a potion that would make her look deceased, so Romeo would come and get Juliet and take her away, so they could be together. Tybalt was a ruthless beast who got angry at Romeo for showing up at a Capulet party. So he challenged Romeo to a duel. If Tybalt had never challenged Romeo, Romeo would not be banished. Tybalt killed Mercutio because Mercutio was standing up for Romeo. Tybalt slayed him and Romeo backlashed by killing Tybalt, causing Romeo to be banished.

Also, the decisions they made and the problems they caused such as ruining true love.

In the Elizabethan tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” written by William Shakespeare, the characters that are known to be adored, can even be the cause of adversities throughout the beautiful play. Many characters could be accountable for the death of Romeo and Juliet. It might be the Nurse, who had very poor judgement, stringing Juliet along in a relationship that wouldn’t last. Mercutio stepped in and tried to help Romeo, but ended up getting stabbed by Tybalt. After Romeo realized Mercutio was dead, he went after Tybalt and killed him. In addition, Juliet died from the same family rivalry.
Tybalt always wanted to fight Romeo. Tybalt and Mercutio get into a fight because of some upsetting words Tybalt said. In the fight Tybalt kills Mercutio, which get Romeo upset.
