The Renaissance movement was the bridge because it was the beginning of individual thought, and appreciation of literature and the arts. People began to think for themselves, people started to come up with many great ideas, rebirth, and cultural expansion. In this time period with your enemies your suppose to be tough and with others be cool, and everyone needed to be good at writing, latin and greek, poetry, speaking and history. As it says in (Document 1). The ideas that have given civilization the drive to rise from a period where the fallow of social, cultural, economical regression. A new system of astronomy and the discovery and exploration of new continents was accompanied by a flowering of philosophy, literature and especially art. Painting was very important in this time period. In (Document 2) its says we want a divinci painting, they wanted it in color, and they also said paint them as young Jesus. Jakob Burckhardt was born in Basel, where his father was a minister in the Reformed church, he discussed the total life of the people, including religion, art and literature. Gold and silver are riches but they care more about fire and water (Document 3). They think that fire and water are more important than riches. Life would be nothing without fire and water. The Renaissance era was the end of the Middle Ages and was the beginning of the contemporary period. It was a time where cultural movements flourished and the intellectual basis—humanism—arose. Humanism was a movement that believed that the human mind had limitless potential. It gave humans more freedom rather than following dogmas and superstitions. It was the start of the more scientific and logical age, based on evidence rather than beliefs and religion.
Without the renaissance people today would not be as highly educated and would be less open-minded. In the Renaissance man’ s view of man changed to one that views itself as perfect, as seen in the art, literature, and scientific discoveries. If the Renaissance was to be known only for one thing it would be art.
From the fifteenth century to the seventeenth centuries society experienced a shift from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. During this time Europe underwent many significant changes that were often expressed through the historical art. Passionate and experienced artists used their skills to create masterpieces that would highlighted these changes and led to the success of their careers. During this shift Medieval point of views began to fade away and a new Era full of new perspectives began to form. The Renaissance was known by many as the rebirth of the humanist culture.
Art is not nearly as well rounded nowadays as it was in the renaissance. For example the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da vinci was an exceptional painting that had tons of detail such as the the ripples in her sleeves and the curls in her hair( doc. a). This painting shows that this was a happy point in time because she is smiling in the portrait(doc. a).

The human race has gone through many extravagant eras and ages. From the space age to the Victorian era, humans have seen civilizations fall and revolutions ensue. Possibly the most well known era was the age of the Renaissance. The Renaissance was an advanced age fueled by an infatuation for art and literature. The Renaissance reached to an end in the late sixteenth mid seventeenth century. The churches loss a lot of power and grasp of feeling of independence, human expression and investigation led to envy, treason, murder, violence and theft. But than again the Renaissance were the ones that painted the way to a lot of achievements and inventions in a lot of different areas of culture, society, science, religion and modern day life. Daijha McCrae 9W October 8th The Renaissance was a time noted for a "rebirth" of learning. the Renaissance is described as a reentrance into the world. It gave a rebirth of classical learning and a rediscovery of Greece and Rome.
The Renaissance was the rebirth of classical Greek and Roman art, literature, and culture. New philosophies formed such as individualism, the idea that humans are capable of great things. This was accompanied by the wish to spread Christianity, and a spirit for riches. With these desires and advancements in ships, a new age of adventure was introduced. From sailing to new worlds and trading across the globe, the Age of Exploration brought riches and destruction.
