There are many factors that should be considered when looking at a horse’s fitness regime and some will not work with every horse the regime should be adapted to suit the racehorse in training. When training a racehorse you train for strength, fitness, a healthy and happy horse, to educate the horse so they become confident, routine and an individual programme for each horse.

A treadmill encourages the horse to work straight and do not have the weight of a rider on their back this is good as the will not be twisting their back to allow them to work with the weight of a rider on their back. On some treadmills the treadmill can be inclined so the horse thinks they are working uphill but the treadmill should be adjusted to suit the horse. The surface on a treadmill can be very hard which could cause concussion with some horse but the surface on the treadmill is consistent. Treadmill can be used when the horse is known to have back problems. The trainer can control the speed, incline and time that the horse spends on a treadmill. This will teach a young horse to show respect for the trainer and give the horse a positive mindset. Exercising a young horse can be extremely beneficial for the development of their muscles, joints, and tendons (“Conditioning Young Horses 1”). The first three years of a horse’s life are very important for the mental and physical development of the young horse. A young horse will normally be easier to train under saddle once you have developed a relationship with the horse on the ground.
At this point, it is unclear what environment and management factors might contribute to a low hoof angle. The gallop exercise has a potentially large effect on the hoof angle and therefore, a change in angle should be expected to occur in racehorses starting fast exercise work. The management of horses may require an adaptation to their training regime in order to minimize this effect. The economic impact on racehorses is very high in the Thoroughbred racing industry. Equestrian sports have been entertaining humans for centuries. Many of these sports have turned fun entertainment into a business. For my networking assignment I chose a professional in my field whom I know very well. The professional is my previous athletic trainer, who is the reason I wish to pursue this line of work. Her name is Jaime Aji, she has her Masters of Science in Athletic Training as well as Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC). Jaime has been working as the Athletic Trainer at Nutley High School for the past eight years. Before asking some general questions about Mrs. Aji’s job, I thought it would be best to start off with the pros and cons of the career field.
Due to its triangle shape it becomes more aerodynamic however because more weight is distributed to each wheel rather than having four wheels it increases friction. Wheels and axles were added because they are simple machines that help move objects along the ground as they reduce the friction of the object being moved and the surface in which it is being moved upon. An axle is what attaches the wheel to the object and in this case that was the base of our racer. The two back wheels had an outline around the edge made out of balloons. They were added to increase traction.
