“Sargent on deck!” The other females and I yelled in sync as the officers walked into our pod. There were twenty-one of us standing with our faces towards the wall and our hands behind our backs. This was a shakedown. Frozen and silent, I stood there listening as the officers ram sacked through my belongings. My thin mat, my papers, pen, snacks, books, and hygiene products were the only items we were allowed to have. Next came the strip search. We had to remove our horrid green, state issued uniforms. I was naked. I was traumatized. The female officer ordered me to squat and cough. This was how they checked to make sure that contraband was not being smuggled into the Clayton County Detention Center. Obediently, I proceeded to do what I was …show more content…
A black male who went by the name of Manman, and Manman’s girlfriend. I do not remember her name. Manman begged me over and over again to give him and his girlfriend a ride to his auntie’s house in Forrest Park. At first, I said no. Forrest Park is known for its high crime, and that was not where I wanted to be. Manman was very persistent and offered me one hundred dollars to take them. I needed the money. I figured that Forrest Park was only about forty minutes from home, so I took him up on his offer. I had a horrible feeling about my decision, but I ignored it and went anyway. My mom agreed to babysit, so the three of us got in my car and headed up Interstate …show more content…
I never noticed the smell of any pot in the car, but maybe the officer could pick up on the smell since that what he is trained to do. I knew he was going to ask if he could search my vehicle. That was fine by me because I knew I did not have anything illegal on me, and any marijuana he did find would belong to Manman or his girlfriend. I gave him consent to search my vehicle. I was standing behind my car when I saw another police car pull up. It was a female officer. She patted me down and found nothing. Then, she patted the other girl and found a small amount of marijuana in her pocket. I watched as the officer arrested her. After that, I saw Manman being put in handcuffs by the male

He ran Partlow’s information for any wants or warrants and he came back negative for both.

In this case, it is two men walking past a storefront a few dozen times and having a meeting after every time they walked the block.

Based on what was found,
A friend of mine. I was hiding a picture of him behind my pillow and my grandmother founded, and asks me if I like that black guy, I told her he was my friend. NYPD has engaged in a practice known as “Stop and Frisk”. This policy allows officers, based on reasonable suspicion that criminal activity is afoot, to engage in investigatory stops and to conduct a pat down of the outer clothing of the individual if there is reasonable suspicion that the suspect is armed” (Simmons, 2014). A stop can take place with an individual that an officer considers reasonable to search based upon speculation of an encounter. For example an officer pulls over a young black man and request for his driver license and registration. The young man complies but the officer begins to speculate and assume he is carrying either illegal drugs or a concealed weapon.
