Explain Why I Want To Join Americorps

I am interested in becoming a TK assistant teacher at Providence Day School. I believe my pedagogical style reflects the Providence Day commitment to students, allowing students to be intellectual risk-takers within a community of supportive learners and educators. My life experiences and my enthusiasm will allow me to teach with compassion and understanding to help students achieve academic success while nurturing their social and emotional skills. I will be graduating from Queens University of Charlotte with a degree in Elementary Education on May 6, 2017. I am currently completing my student teaching in first-grade at Sharon Elementary School.

The only organization that maintains and follows the principles set forth by the 22 founders that started it all based on community service and scholarship. I am physically and mentally prepared to serve for a life time. I am confident in all that I commit myself

Applying to the A.P program at St.Joseph is something I am interested in because I want to challenge myself and to become a better problem solver. I want to be part of the AP program because I find the pace at my current school slow and I don't feel like I'm being challenged often. Also, by joining the AP program I can prepare myself for university and earn credits. Furthermore, the AP program can help me develop healthy study habits for a university which can prepare me for university.

Why I want to be a member of Alpha Phi Alpha I want to become a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporation for many reasons. One of the main reasons I would like to be a member, is for the fact that I would like to belong to a brotherhood.

National Honor society was established to recognize outstanding high school students. National Honor society recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of academic success, leadership, character and service. I should be in National Honor Society because I think I represent a lot of the qualities needed to be in this organization. Throughout my years in high school, I have been very involved in the band program here at Langham Creek. As a freshman, I started out in Concert 2 band.

I don’t really enjoy picking fights, or committing any acts of violence. Truthfully, if I got into any type of conflict, my lanky body would probably give up on me halfway. That’s what my wife told me after I said I was going to be joining the US armed forces. “Mark, are you an idiot? You can’t even walk without limping, how will you serve our country?!”

I decided to choose the National Honor Society program because it will enhance my leadership skills and also prepare me for college.

I chose National Honor Society as my most important activity to me. Being a part of National Honor Society means to me that I have accomplished many of my goals in my academic career; such as my grade point average and my upper ranking amongst my fellow classmates. Explain your interest in joining Phi Delta Epsilon-MA Alpha Chapter. * I want to join Phi Delta Epsilon because it would provide me the chance to build lifelong connections and gain networking opportunities. Most importantly, I see myself forming a bond with other members, studying and sharing memories of what it’s like to be a premedical student at UMass Boston. The ability to connect, strive for success and learning from others with the same goal to attend medical school is what I’m truly seeking as a hopeful applicant of PhiDE. If you think the immigrants have it easy in the United states, well then you’re wrong! An immigrant has a very hard time while living in the United States. Their opportunities are very different than an opportunity a citizen has. Most immigrants believe that when they come to America everyone will be treated equally, that America is the land of opportunities, and they will have their freedom, but sadly some are wrong. When most immigrants come to America they get treated like aliens, like they’re different from everyone else only because they wasn’t born as a natural born citizen.

In the first year, I was a part of a pioneering youth development team in Americorps NCCC Southwest Region. I worked with K-12 students in title one schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, Habitat for Humanity, local non-profit organizations, The Red Cross and The Salvation Army. I spent my second year working with underserved youth as a volunteer coordinator for Reading Partners in DC. I learned about the struggles that the students I worked with dealt with every day. I was also able to interact with parents and provide resources for education, housing, food, and nutrition.

Throughout my childhood and adolescent years, I always had a dream of joining the military. Though it was a choice, I still did not have any inside information of what it would be like, and the requirements and specifics of the Army. It wasn't until 2005 when I decided to join the United States Army that all my concerns and questions were answered by a recruit; and I was guided through the whole process to enter and prep for the Army. If it was not for the confidences and motivation of my recruiter back in 2005, I might have not made my leap and probably would not be in this uniform today. Becoming a member of the United States Army recruiting team means having a physical and mental toughness in order to perform efficiently.
