Probably the most famous love story of all time, is William Shakespheres Romeo and Juliet. In this love tragedy Romeo and Juliet are tragic victims of bad timing miscommunication and mistakes.
Since Romeo did not tell his closest friends Mercutio and Benvolio that he had married Juliet, this led to the many deaths of the people close to Romeo and Juliet. The reason why Romeo was refusing to fight Tybalt was because since Romeo had married Juliet, Tybalt had become a family member of his. But since Romeo did not tell Mercutio and Benvolio exactly why he did not want to fight Tybalt, Mercutio was convinced that Romeo was scared to fight him, so Mercutio took it upon himself to fight Tybalt. After he told Romeo that Juliet was dead, Romeo was so sad that he bought poison from an apothecary who first refused to sell poison to him but as a lower class citizen he could not refuse the hefty money Romeo was paying. Romeo bought the poison to end his misery. One of the biggest mistakes that caused Romeo and Juliet to have a unsuccessful relationship was their parents. Since the Capulet's and the Montague's were feuding, Romeo and Juliet could not express their true love for each other openly and could tell their parents how they really felt about each other. Another mistake was when Romeo got banished, Juliet an Friar Laurence had to think of a master plan to get them together somehow, and the plan the undertook was very dangerous. Juliet could have ingested too much or since her family thought she was dead, she could have been buried
Romeo was trying to protect both of them, but ended up not being able to save Mercutio. He was trying to save Tybalt because they were family now, as a result of Romeo marrying Juliet. Because Romeo is furious, he kills Tybalt. Benvolio, who is standing by, becomes distraught, and he tells Romeo to run. “Romeo, away, be gone!
This plan goes horribly wrong and results in the death of both Romeo and his love, Juliet. If Tybalt had not insisted on fighting with Mercutio and Romeo, it would have saved Mercutio’s and his own life and ultimately everyone
In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, the characters, Mercutio, Tybalt, Paris, Romeo, Juliet and Lady Montague all die, and Mercutio is to blame. Act 1, Scene 4 of Romeo and Juliet, is about Mercutio convincing Romeo to go the party being held by the Capulet family. Romeo does not want to go, because he is a Montague and not welcome into the house of Capulet. After some convincing, Romeo agrees and goes to the party, where he is spotted by Tybalt. Tybalt hates the idea of a Montague in his family home, and searches for romeo in the square the next day.
Romeo and Juliet eventually get engaged causing Tybalt to blame Mercutio for inviting Romeo to the party. This leads up to every conflict in the story. If Mercutio had not invited Romeo to the party, Romeo would not have met Juliet so they would not have died. Both Mercutio and Tybalt’s faults interlock with each other because Tybalt’s actions are in result of Mercutio’s
After Juliet realized that Romeo was a member of the family that her family is feuding she states “‘that I must love a loathed enemy”’ (Shakespeare 31.5. 141). Juliet acted with undo haste when she instantly fell in love with Romeo. She continues to get involved with Romeo knowing her parents would not approve of their relationship. Juliet should have stopped her relationship with Romeo as soon as she knew who he was but she chose not to. Juliet agreed to keep her marriage hidden from her parents and that lead to her father setting a marriage up for her with good intentions and her having to decline lead to a conflict with her father.
The star crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet are entirely to blame for their tragic deaths. The love story of Romeo and Juliet occurred so suddenly and hastened that they didn’t fully comprehend the consequences of their actions. Their relationship was extremely forbidden by their feuding families and their secret marriage was a major contribution to their deaths. Romeos actions were so impulsive and his feelings towards Juliet were so extravagant, consequently resulting in their romances violent conclusion. Similar to Romeos ill thought actions, Juliet’s behaviour and drastic motives led to the untimely end to her and her lovers lives.
We all make bad decisions everyday. For example, watching TV when you have a bunch of homework to do, or playing video games all day instead of going outside to play. Now even though these are bad decisions, they don’t really seem to affect us long term. In the play, Romeo and Juliet, so many bad decisions are made that it leads to the death of two young teenagers that are in love, even though their families are bitter enemies. Throughout the play, their decisions keep getting worse and worse.
The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is like a long line of dominoes, once one thing goes wrong, it just brings on more bad occurrences. Throughout the entire story there is always some debacle, whether it’s for the better or worse of the characters. The outcomes of these debacles cause the story to take multiple turns in a way that the reader would not expect. Most people say everything happens for a reason, but sometimes everything happens because of a reason. Within the story I believe the reason is not one decision, not one debacle, but one person.
Tybalt always wanted to fight Romeo. Tybalt and Mercutio get into a fight because of some upsetting words Tybalt said. In the fight Tybalt kills Mercutio, which get Romeo upset. Then Romeo kills Tybalt, which gets him banished form Verona, Italy. So the long-standing family feuding and fate are the cause of Romeo and Juliet’s deaths.
In the book Romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare, the book is a giant tragedy between two star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. There are people that love each other that much. The feud, lack of parenting, and lack of communication caused Romeo and Juliet's death in the book. Throughout the book, there is a feud between the two families (the Capulets and Montagues) started before the book and there was no real history on it other than that they don't like each other and they fight in the streets often. I feel like the feud caused some of the problems because Romeo sounded like a pusher, what I mean by a pusher is he likes to push on or bend the rules so he can see what will happen.
In the play Romeo and Juliet one of the main characters, Romeo, is a rather impulsive fellow who acts on what he sees and feels. He falls in love in the blink of an eye and just as fast he can get over it. He is always impulsive but when he finds himself in love his impulsiveness doubles. Romeo’s impulsive decisions causes his love, Juliet, to ultimately get killed.
William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is a perfect example of how poor choices don’t only affect one’s own futures but also those of their communities. Romeo and Juliet fall in love despite their families, the Montagues and the Capulets, being enemies. The two marry in secret and plan to live a happy life together before a deadly fight breaks out between the Montagues and the Capulets and the lovers are separated. The heartbreaking story consists of risky decisions and bad timing. Romeo’s own impulsive nature, demonstrated when he kills Juliet’s kinsman, breaks Verona’s law of banishment, and suicidal act, all contribute to the tragic end of Romeo and Juliet.
Instead, he offered her this carelessly created plan. His failure to realize its instability and how his actions could affect Romeo and Juliet was ignorant and caused Romeo’s death. Though Romeo was supposed to receive a letter, the passage to his abode was blocked. He had only found out about Juliet’s “death” through a friend. Unfortunately, because he was not informed of the plan, he mistakenly thought she had truly passed away.
Mercutio decides to fight tybalt because Romeo would not fight back against him. Romeo is being a coward in the eyes of Mercutio so he decides to fight Tybalt on his own. “O calm, dishonorable, vile submission Alla stoccata carries it away. Tybalt, you ratcatcher, will you walk?” (Shakespeare 1091).
Romeo disagrees and says, “Tybalt, the reason why I have to love thee / doth excuse the appertaining rage” (III I 63-65). Here Romeo expresses his love for Tybalt due to the fact that Romeo is wed to Juliet, Tybalt’s cousin making him a relative of Tybalt. However, Romeo does not reveal why he loves Tybalt. Mercutio fights for Romeo and is slain by Tybalt and Romeo seeking revenge, murders Tybalt and is banished. Both these events cause other events of poor communication to take place in this chain reaction which leads to the dreadful end of Romeo and Juliet.
