Abstract
Tooth Regeneration is a procedure in the field of stem cell biology. Regenerative medicine has always contributed significantly in the field of dentistry; however, research is still ongoing. Different methods and various types of cells are vital in teeth regeneration. Periodontitis and pulpitis disease destroys teeth with periodontal repair. Various techniques are used to aid in the repair process. They include; bone grafting and GTR.
Tooth Regeneration
Tooth regeneration is a procedure in the field of stem cell biology and tissue engineering used to replace stem cell- based regenerative medicine to replace damaged or lost teeth by using stem cells to grow them (Wiki, 2016).The need for replacing

For practical purposes of tooth regeneration, the challenge remains in obtaining autologous human embryonic dental cells to invent reliable methods to restore teeth of prearranged anatomic shape and size, using cells from post-natal tissues. After several steps, the human ameloblasts transform into human dental enamel. Hence, the human dental epithelial cells are challenging to acquire for the purpose of regeneration because dental epithelial cells have mainly endured cell death proceeding to tooth eruption by transforming into the dental enamel. This paper seeks to create a profile for tooth regeneration that will aid a nursing scholar-practitioner in improving the delivery of healthcare (Snead, …show more content…
This is a procedure completed to replace damaged and lost teeth which result from trauma, malformations, and genetic disorders. It went on to discuss regenerative medicine and the types of cells and methods used for this procedure. The document went on to discuss the how the method of tooth regeneration came into being. Also, periodontitis and pulpitis were also discussed. I hope the information will bring about more awareness of the topic. That person would take better care of their teeth and follow up their family history. I also would like to see that more measures are put in place so more research and strategies would be
It is difficult to determine if tooth loss was a result of either advancing age or pathology. However, due to substantial bone resorption (bone loss) of both the mandible and maxilla, tooth loss occurred years before death. It is hypothesized that this individual either was able
Chronic periodontitis Chronic Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease of the supporting tissues of the teeth caused by specific microorganisms or groups of specific microorganisms, leading to progressive destruction of the attachment apparatus of the teeth including periodontal ligament, cementum and alveolar bone with periodontal pocket formation, and recession of the gingival tissue(1) . The clinical feature that characterizes periodontitis from gingivitis is the presence of clinically apparent attachment loss. This loss mainly is associated with changes in the density and height of subjacent alveolar bone (1). Severe generalized periodontitis affects 5–15% of any population worldwide and is a major cause of teeth loss after dental caries (2). Chronic Periodontitis also known as adult periodontitis or chronic adult
On the first day of my D3 fall semester I entered axium to check the different cases that were assigned to me by the school. After reviewing all of the charts, I decided to start with a case that had been recently treatment planned and treated but now required a prophylaxis. This seemed like a manageable case for me to work on as my first in the restorative department. I reviewed the radiographs and realized that they were over 6 months old and not entirely diagnostic. I knew that any faculty member that I worked with would require up to date, diagnostic radiographs. Upon reviewing the radiographs, I found that not only were there no restorations placed in mouth, but that she had 9 carious lesions present.
This is also a procedure for denture and they have proved to be stronger and durable compared to the restorative counterparts. It may be either crowns or bridges or even removable dentures. The dental implantation is a permanent solution to the loss of teeth. It is like a steady foundation to the restorative solutions of teeth. The greatest advantage is that it is resistant to cavity.
Below you will learn about our dental implant solutions, dentures, fixed bridges, and

It intrigues me to learn about the various diseases and conditions that can manifest without proper care taken off a person’s teeth. I think people underestimate the power and overall importance of brushing, and flossing of the teeth on a regular basis. The short time I’ve spent under Ms. Lopez has help emphasize the importance of knowing the anatomy and physiology aspect of the teeth. The knowledge I obtained from shadowing, and numerous hours of online research has help convey to me knowledge on how to better prevent oral
Relaxed in the dental chair with my dark glasses on, I had been prepped and was ready for my second surgery. My headphones played beautiful, calming classical music. A micro-current patch placed behind each of my ears would help to keep me in a relaxed state. I could taste the remnants of the orange flavored supplements used to promote the relaxation response. My biological dentist and his assistant talked in the background as we waited for the anesthetic to take effect.
Dental assistants’ contribution to the doctor is to allow for efficient dental treatment by preparing the patient for the procedure, sterilizing instruments, passing instruments during the procedure, holding suction devices, exposing dental radiographs, taking impressions, and fabricating provisional crowns. Along with crowns, Rt1 Dental offers veneers which are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your smile. Many people are skeptical about other procedures like cavities and root canals. During these procedures, pain is thought to be the leading dynamic because of the injections. The assistants and Dr. Trakhtman know of various techniques to help lessen the pain
The reason it is increasing so much is that due to the increasing population in the world is going to need more dental services. As well as the fact of the increase of population, another point made is that oral health also leads to overall health. This article also provided me with a larger view from my last article because it expanded on what it had stated previously. Some of the tools they use are hand tools, power, ultrasonic, laser tooling, and air tooling. A constant pattern of their uses of the tools is usually air, water, and then baking soda to polish someone’s teeth.
Nowadays, it is common to see people with braces in their teeth. You will note that a decade ago, it was relatively rare to come across a person with dental braces. However, times have changed. You will discover that in a group of one hundred individuals, one of them is wearing dental braces. Dental braces have become very essential nowadays.
Dental implant is a form of cosmetic dentistry that is used to replace missing teeth for a more natural look and feel (Kotrzewski). When there is missing teeth, chewing ability is lost; not choosing to replace missing teeth can cause other teeth to be lost as well. One will have to replace missing teeth as soon as possible, because if chosen otherwise, in the end, there will be no teeth at all. Other obvious reasons to replace lost teeth, is that it can affect someone’s appearance and there could be a loss of self-esteem. The implants are there to aid in speaking and chewing problems that were caused by missing teeth.
Settings and Design: The representative tissue received was 10% formalin fixed hard tissue measuring about 1x0.5 cm in diameter. Materials and Methods: Ground section was done for surgically removed teeth and observed under optical microscope. Conclusions:
Regenerative medicine refers to the repair of, or the replacement of organs, cells and tissues in a human system. This will be done to tissues, cells or organs that have been damaged by disease, trauma or being damaged over extended periods of time. There are several ways to repair the organs, tissues or cells but the most promising way of doing this is with stem cell therapy. Regeneration and therefore revitalisation of these organs, tissues or cells can and should be done as they get worn-out, using stem cell therapy to carry out the restoration. The definition of worn-out is: damaged to the point of no longer being usable.
If left untreated, children are at risk of developing toothache and extreme cases, tooth loss. (Childs, 2001). Parents are the child’s biggest influences and the main deciders
