Elisha M. Pease was born in Enfield, Connecticut on January 3, 1812.His parents were Lorrain Thompson and Sarah Thompson. He was the fifth and thirteenth governor of Texas. When Elisha was young, he worked at a general store then later worked as a clerk in a post office. He went to school at Westfield Academy which was located in Massachusetts. He eventually moved to Mexican Texas in 1835 and stayed in Mina where he studied law under D.C. Barrett.

The Norris-LaGuardia Act was implemented in 1932 in order to eradicate certain legal and judicial barriers against the actions of organized labor in the United States. The Rift between the trade unions and the employers are not unknown to the world, as this issue has been raising its head every now and then in the history of industrial and labor development. Many acts and legislations have been enacted throughout the past century to bring some kind of a balance between the relation of the unions and the employers of labor. Norris Laguardia Act of 1932 is one such act that was enacted work in favor of the organized labor. Today, Pearson International is one of the most well-known airports out there. He excelled at numerous sports such as rugby, basketball, ice hockey as well as baseball.

Throughout the middle of the 1800s, the unity of the United States was threatened by the possibility of traveling closer to dividing into two separate countries. Disputes between the North and South grew as they disagreed on the allowance of slavery in the United States. The North strongly believed that slavery was immoral and should be abolished, whereas, the economy of the South greatly depended on the work of slaves in the cotton industry. After many years of compromises dealing with popular sovereignty among the states, a few key events led to the inevitable disunion of the United States. The passage of the Kansas-Nebraska Act and the decision in the Dred Scott case led to disunion because they resulted in disagreements between the North

Medgar Evers Medgar Evers was an African-American civil rights activist who dedicated his life to fighting for racial equality and social justice. Born in Mississippi in 1925, Evers served in the U.S. Army during World War II before becoming involved in the civil rights movement. He worked tirelessly to register black voters, desegregate schools, and challenge segregation in public accommodations. Evers faced violent opposition from white supremacists and was tragically assassinated in 1963. Despite his untimely death, Evers' legacy lives on as a symbol of courage and resilience in the struggle for civil rights.

The United States has multiple health care options such as Obamacare, Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance through employers or on their own. Most of the people living in the United States, around 70% of individuals, get health insurance through their work or union. Other individuals get insurance on their own or a family plan. Some averages of individual and family premiums and deductibles are around a $280/month premium and $4,120 deductible for an individual, while for a family plan it is around $930/month premium and $7,760 deductible.

The new president and congress has many public policies to deal with in the following years, including climate change, the deficit our country faces, poverty, social security and education. However, the most present issue the new president and the new congress will have to deal with is healthcare. President Trump already signed an executive order which repeals the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare. President Trump had promised the people that this would be the first thing he would do. However, he did not presented a replacement for the Affordable Care Act.

The Obamacare Act has changed a bit over the years. You must know what Obamacare is first in order to fully understand it. Obamacare, or the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), became a law and was signed by former President Barrack Obama on March 23, 2010. The goal was to reform the healthcare industry. The Supreme Court upheld this law on June 28, 2012.

There is one thing that every person wants to know throughout their life. Our destiny and whether we have the ability to make it successful or if natural abilities predetermine it for us. Many different authors and scientist have argued this question for years. Authors Malcolm Gladwell and David Epstein found one another on contrasting sides of the subject. Malcolm Gladwell, author of "Outliers", concluded that humans have more control over their success in life.

I should be considered for the Kaiser Permanente Health Care Scholarship because I have proved and accomplished more than what I thought I would be capable of in my education, I am passionate for the health industry, and I financially need to be to succeed. I will continue my education by pursuing my goal to become a Registered Nurse. I first considered Registered Nursing when I joined the Health Academy and realized how passionate I was to help others. Throughout my years in the Health Academy, my passion grew drastically. My summer of 2015 was dedicated to two internships; one being a Medical Assistant (200 hours) and another as a Physical Therapy Aide (80 hours).

By looking at the revenue and operating income for Johnson & Johnson, we can see their margins and evaluate their performance. Johnson & Johnson’s operating profit margin improved from 2015 to 2016 but decreased significantly from 2016 to 2017. The operating profit margin for the company as a whole in 2016 was 28.72% and in 2017 it was 24.07% (Appendix A).
