What Does Freedom mean to me? The definition of freedom is the power or right to act, speak,or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. But some people ask me,”What does freedom mean to me?” Sometimes I stop and think about that question myself. Freedom has a lot of meanings. To some people freedom means doing whatever they want. To me freedom is having the ability to do things that other countries can not do. A good thing about freedom is when you have the right to believe in your own beliefs. There are many other ways that freedom can mean. Freedom has also led us to things that sometimes we wish that freedom never existed. Like when people started having the freedom to smoke
“When a man is denied the right to live the life he believes in he has no choice but to become an outlaw.” Freedom means different things to different people. For some people, it means you have the freedom to go for a walk without getting the police called on you. For some it may mean practicing the religion they choose, or where they work or live. A historical well-known example of freedom is when Rosa Parks sat in front of the bus she was asked to go to the back she refused to.
Freedom means to do anything one want to do, but one can’t do anything against the law. For example, one can wear whatever clothes he or she wants. One can go to any school he or she desires. I’m happy about my freedom to use the internet. I’m also happy that I can wear whatever I want without being questioned or judged.
Freedom (liberty) is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without resistance. Freedom is America's honor, and honor comes with obligations and we have the obligation to use our freedom wisely. We can accept or reject the obligations, but we must choose well. I'm a patriot for country because of the freedoms that I have. One way we have our freedom is because of the Declaration of Independence and first ten Amendments of the Constitution or The Bill of Rights.
Freedom is what I think of as to do as you please. Being able to eat or drink without having to fight for it. Being able to own a home without someone coming in there and dictating me. Being able to get an education.
In my opinion, freedom is the ability to do something however you want without the feeling of restraint or restriction. We as individuals, constitute our own freedom, because everyone's definition is completely different from one another. An example of my definition being able to say whatever you want at a Trump rally and not get jumped by a horde or people. According from my perspective of Fahrenheit 451, MIldred’s definition of freedom is basically escaping reality, She believes that the outside world is sort of worthless and has nothing to do with what she really cares about, which is her earbuds and tv walls.
According to Google, a popular website, freedom means, “the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.” This isn’t really true because, there is so much more to freedom. Freedom has many different definitions. It is more than a sentence on paper. Just like you are more than a human being.
Freedom means "the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint." Free is an adjective that describes our country, thanks to the patriots who bravely fought for our original thirteen colonies. After their hard work, some didn't get to see what it was worth, fighting for thirteen colonies. It was worth, now we have a country, a free country, the United States of America. It all started out as colonies, when a great country of power landed on the soon to become America.
Freedom! The dictionary says freedom is the condition of not being bound to restraints, or oppression. Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one desires. However, to me it means much more. To me freedom means having the ability to practice your own religion and to speak freely publicly or privately.
The English Oxford dictionary defines freedom as “The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants.” This definition is partially true while these are the qualities of freedom, we can only have these rights as long as we don’t interfere with another's freedom. So, what isn’t freedom? A quote from a journalist of the Daily Beast, P.J. O’Rourke, answers this pretty well.
Freedom means many things to many people. We can view freedom politically, as having the opportunity to vote for particular ideas or people. Along with the subject of freedom, There are many categories that can be interpreted in many different ways. In the great country that we live in we have freedoms that we take for granted. In The United States the first Amendment to the Constitution guarantees us certain freedoms.
Freedom is what every human being strives for. To have the mindset to choose for themselves where it does not violate anyone else's freedom. The Bill of Rights guarantees many freedoms, such as the freedom of speech. Freedom is not just about what society wants us to believe but how it affects teens growing into adulthood, or the mere fact of self-control and how do we as a people desire to change the outcome.
When we have freedom we receive a promise, and that promise is to receive the same amount of freedom as everybody else. Freedom for all, right? There is always a good side to freedom. It could be argued that freedom lets us be ourselves.
A very common question such as, “What is Freedom?” could have quite a few different answers because everyone has a different understanding of this broad phenomenon in his or her own way. There are many things that could influence a person’s viewpoint of the concept, such as their cultures or their belief system. But, at the end, we know everyone is born free and have the right to live a free life. For any reasonable person, freedom could mean to be able to “do whatever they want to.” However, that is always not the case.
