undefeated “I’m really surprised we’re not undefeated.” Not because of the way we’ve played, but because it’s hard to get to this point without losing a game.” What makes someone a good leader? Good leaders are very temptational people, who take risks. Understandably, they try their hardest through all kinds of doubt. Do you have an idea of what a good leader is? In the documentary Coach Courtney is an inspiring person, just because he worries about his fellow football player more than himself, and his family. After what all his players done and have been through he’s always tried to make everything right. A good leader to me shows who you really are. Depends if you give up easy or just keep …show more content…
Considering that he puts so much consideration and inspiration for this team tells me how far you can go in life. The reason some what of the people here on earth put other problems before there’s is because they want to be a guide, they understand things people are going through. Whether the possibities are that you’ll get hurt, or what could go wrong. Considering myself as a good person and hard working, yes. If I put other problems before mine, i don’t think that would be the greatest idea. Usually putting other people’s before mine isn’t something i’m good at but i love helping people out. It makes me feel better. Coach Courtney is more than a coach, but a leader. Leaders have tons of people that look up to them, and they trust them. It inspires them to do better in life. “Leadership is not an position or a title, it is an action and example.” Leaders are honest and trustworthy enough for people to look up to them, Which is something Coach Courtney is out of the movie
Follow the leader, a.k.a. do what the first person does and don’t do it wrong or you are out. This becomes burnt into children’s minds as what they think leadership is and has become what many people think it must be. Contrarily, a flourishing leader is one who listens. Who takes all member’s ideas into consideration, makes sure all are heard, and keeps a group in order while still taking into account what the group wants.
The very first thing that makes up a good leader, is knowledge. With knowledge, leaders are able to take good decisions. Therefore I consider Rick Grimes from "The Walking Dead" as someone who makes up a good leader. What makes him a good leader is his knowledge, responsibility, and bravery. To begin with, Rick Grimes, the leader of a group of people who want to survive a zombie apocalypse, is their leader because he knows what and what shouldn't be done in order to survive.
There are many qualities that good leaders must possess in order to be able to maintain a group united and working together, whether it is a sports or any academic team or club. For example; football/volleyball, U.I.L/ National Honor Society, or even Spanish/Interact club. Leaders must be willing to pass on a positive influence and know when to take charge. They must begin to be role models to those they associate with on a daily basis.
I consecutively display leadership skills daily in practice and while performing. For example, when one of my teammates is struggling or not grasping the concept, I take it into my hands to work with them vigorously until they achieve their full potential. In like manner, I motivate my cheer sisters when they are down and reassure the team, as a whole, to walk in the spirit of excellence. To include, I feel that a leader is not someone who stands in front and dictates their group, but rather stands right next to their followers and goes through the battles with them. Additionally, I exemplify a respectful young lady in and out of uniform because I have noticed the little girls idolizing me and mimicking every move I make.
Football has proven to me that I have what it takes to be a leader. Ever since middle school I have been a team captain and leader for my team. Leadership does not always come from speaking but it also is shown by actions. I am known for my leadership skills on a football team because I show teammates the way to do drills and I encourage them to follow my hard work. My leader standpoint is not just in football but in the job I have worked for the past three years.
This includes teaching children from kindergarten to 6th graders to learn how to hit the ball, to proper have a better form, and to have fun during the camp. This leadership inspire me to become compassion and help people grow to learn new things. Another demonstration of leadership is when I join a tennis team in high school. To me, leadership during tennis is to know your team and yourself better because it can set the team to become successful. This also means helping other achieve the impossible.
I constantly strive to be the best that I know I can be and aim beyond. If I am given the opportunity to demonstrate my leadership qualities, I hope to prove to myself, my coach, and my teammates that I have what it takes. Despite my past errors this past few years, I am a wiser and stronger person. Arguably because of them. It can be hard to accept the past, but it cannot be changed.
Whenever there is an opportunity for me to help out the community, I am more than willing to do it. Every summer I teach a cheer camp and every winter I teach a dance camp. In order to teach those camps, another cheerleader, or dancer, and I have to choreograph a dance and teach it to other students within two to three days. Those students then perform that dance to people in and around the community. In addition to teaching those camps, I also help out at the school.
I am a firm believer that strong leaders can either make or break an athlete’s career. Talented mentors have the rare ability to transform a stubborn and/or tired mind to one reborn with the hunger to continue. It is an amazing feat when thought about; how could one person make such a mammoth impact that he/she could completely change someone’s thoughts? Coaching cheerleading was one of the most demanding positions I have voluntarily placed myself into, not because I believed I lacked the expertise to effectively instruct, but because I placed pressure on myself to do well; however, this was a different form of it.
What makes a leader? I believe a leader to be intelligent ,tough, and has the determination to achieve a goal. Having certain skills will have an impact on you being a trustable leader. Being selfless and caring are also characteristics. Malcolm X his birth name Malcolm Little is a fine a example of a leader and has most of these leadership qualities.
A leader is someone you can look up to with admiration. A proper leader does not mislead the people that stand with them. They are open, honest, and responsible. They don’t hide their failures. They own up to their mistakes because that’s what leaders do.
What Makes an Effective Leader? There are leaders all around you and you probably did not even know it. A leader is a person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. This could be parents, teachers, or the president of a country.
A leader is someone who takes charge when it matters the most. Even when the odds are completely against them they push on to reach their goal. The person I believe is a great leader is Wardell Stephen Curry II. Stephen Curry dreamed of going to the NBA and be just like his dad Dell Curry. Steph Curry was doubted all his life due to his size though.
Sports leaders have position power over all players. However, the role of a sports leader is much more encompassing than being a good judge of a player’s ability. This implies that a leader should treat each player with the respect he/she deserves. Moreover, different leadership techniques apply to different players. As is the case with workers of varying strengths and weaknesses, sports leaders also need to flex their leadership style and practice the teachings of situational leadership.
