Civil War: The Most Destructive Fight In The Western World

The civil war of 1861-1875 is known as one of the most bloodiest battles ever fought in American history. The outcome of the war would define the type of country the U.S. would become for centuries to come. This war gave justice to two unanswered questions left undetermined by the revolution: would the United States strictly follow the ideas left upon the Declaration of Independence or fall as a whole country due to disagreements in beliefs. Two sides, the North and South, with very distinct ideas went head to head in overwhelming battles, each party of states fighting for their own reasons.

The Civil war was a war that was fought with the North and the South from 1861 throughout 1865. This war killed about 618,000 lives. Some reasons for the civil war were economic issues because the North was all about business and the South was all about farming, another reason was because of slavery because the people of the North banned slavery and the people of the South depend on it for produce. Also, because Abraham Lincoln was president at the time of the civil war era, Lincoln did not want to identify the South as being independent which started the war in 1861. Lincoln was all for the emancipation proclamation and freed the slaves.

The civil war developed around the conflict of whether or not slavery should be abolished. At this time, 1/8 of the population were slaves. The country was divided on the basis of slave or free. Brother fought brother and father fought son as the war raged on. Both sides

The Civil War was a battle of great importance to our history of the United States. On April 12th, 1861 this battle broke out between the Union States, North, and the Confederate States, such as the South. The Civil War took place all throughout the United states, and did not come to an end until the Union won the war on May 9, 1856. So, our question of “What caused the Civil War”, comes with three important answers. The three main causes of the Civil War between the North and the South were Economic, Social, and Political differences.

Mid 19th century is when two neighboring regions of a sound country collide with one another in a violent outbreak. The North and the South had diverging point of views on slavery. Also, the North was modernizing and growing with industrialization while the South used agricultural methods to profit. There are three main causes that ignited the civil war are slavery, expansion of the Americas, and Secession. These 3 elements made the fire of war grow exponentially where immediate action must be taken to put out the raging fire.

Prior to the civil war the United States was broken into slave(South) and free(North) states. The north’s economy was based on manufacturing and industries, whilst the south’s economy was dependent on a cash crop; cotton in which the south wanted to not pay workers to pick the cotton so slaves were used in doing so. Given that most people believed that the civil war was caused by the state’s not getting the rights they needed and by the election of Lincoln who wanted to abolish slavery. Slavery was one of the main reasons for the civil war as it kept on feeding into it.

The American Civil War was a war fought in the US between the North and the South from 1861 to 1865. People have debated on the reasons for this war for a long time, but there are more reasons than one would think. While slavery is sometimes thought to be the only cause for the American Civil War and sectionalism of the United States, other things like the Industrial movement and Abolitionism had a big impact on why the war was fought. The Industrial movement was when America started mass producing different commodities while needing a lot of labor too. Slaves in the South started getting tired and sick of being owned and forced to do work, and decided they would rather die and kill a few of their owners than keep in the labor.

Three long term causes of the civil war. The American Civil War was a war fought within the United States of America between the south, confederacy and the north, union from 1861-1865. The first main cause is state's right v. federal rights. There were many issues throughout the years that questioned how much power the federal government acquired and how much power the states had, the north usually wanted a stronger federal government whereas the south wanted the states to make decisions on their own.

Many people think the Civil War was simply over slavery but there was a lot more conflict than what is remembered.
