The Civil War was one of the most famous and pivotal time periods in American history. It was a time when a country, created to stand together against England, turned against each other. On the one hand, there was the North, which became home to the Federal officers. Down below was the South, the Confederates. It was the ideology of slavery, particularly the arguments of George FitzHugh and the Fugitive Slave Act which made the Civil War inevitable and necessary.

Analyze the changes wrought by the Civil War on Northern and Southern societies and economies. The Civil War profound impact on all aspects of American society. The war brought economic opportunities to northern citizens. Work was easy to come by for most white men and immigrant population in the North.

Good evening my fellow Americans. Tonight I would like to address to you all the many reasons in which why I believe this country and the people in it are more than the worst things that have ever happened to it. When I think of American citizens I think of tenacious people who will not stop until they reach want they are trying to achieve in life. During this fireside chat I will be addressing to you the people many reasons was to why this country is so great. After the Civil War the most important thing that could have ever taken place was the reconstruction.

The Civil War started on April 12, 1861 and lasted until mid-1865. The Civil War arose out of deep disagreements regarding everything from State’s rights, but the primary cause was the contrasting views regarding slavery. While the Southern States supported continued slavery, the Northern States wanted to end this practice. Many scholars believe the Civil War was due to the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860, who supported the North, causing the Southern States to split from the United States. During this period, the Southern States considered Jefferson Davis to be their President.

​Throughout the war many tragedies occurred, more than sixty two hundred thousand people died. That was not only used as a life lesson to many, but it was mind opening to how many dealt with issues after that incident. Moreover, after the Civil war there were many issues being taken into consideration. For instance,

To say the time period following the Civil War in the United States involved a lot of change would be a understatement. Between the years 1870 and 1900 the people of the United States lived through a period of great change. Not only did they witness technological advances that would change their daily lives, they also saw new laws and organizations formed. All of this was done in hopes of improving the country. Many of these changes came about because of the type of businesses that were formed.

The Civil War lasted from 1861 to 1865. At this time there was a vast change in having equality for the society, especially to the African Americans. The Emancipation Proclamation changed the focus of the Civil War by trying to end issues with slavery, guiding to military changes,

The Civil War, fought from 1861 and 1865, was best know as “The War Between the States,” because it was between the United States of America and the Confederate States of America. Although the war ended, it led to several long-term effects that have now impacted our community, geographically and economically that are still intact today. Income taxes were first created in the summer of 1861 to levy the war efforts. The congress was left to come up with a way to raise any money that remained in debt. They levied a 1% tax on wages on the first $1500 and 2% on any additional income.

The Civil War is one of the most important events in United States history. The nation was no longer united, but instead divided between the North and the South. The country was exposed to horrific events that changed the lives of many Americans. The war was also a period of significant political and social change. The Civil War could be considered a “Second American Revolution" because of the abolition of slavery, and Abraham Lincolns radical ideas, which significantly changed the concept of government.

In the beginning there wasn’t much to America. President Jefferson bought the Louisiana Territory in 1803. He sent the Corps of Discovery, led by Lewis and Clark, to explore the territory in 1804, now we have western America. In 1829, Andrew Jackson became president, he didn’t like the Native Americans. He had them leave their land and go elsewhere; Famously known as the Trail of Tears, they walked from their homes to a camp in Oklahoma.

Mechanization brought farming down and other big businesses. There were so many things that changed after the Civil War and a lot of reasons why they changed. the people changed, the culture, the technology, the economic growth, etc... In my opinion the Civil War was a good thing, but it caused lots of damage and made so many things change. The jobs changed a lot because jobs with technology took over.

The Civil war was a very devastating event in history that was a test on the families who had loved ones both in the war and living far away from the rest of their family. People on the home front wanted to help but felt like there was not anything they could do. Also, the addition of the draft into the war it caused more of a burden and fear of losing their loved ones. However, with the devastation of the war people seemed to do the only thing they knew how to do and that was to go to church.

The Civil War had a huge effect on the nation, including its people. To gain freedom and equality for the nation, the soldiers went to fight, and that battle is known as the Civil War. The Civil War changed the history of the nation’s beliefs about equality and freedom for all, and this war was the solution for that. Not to mention, slavery was also one of the main points as to why we had the Civil War.

The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, the Panic of 1873, and the formation of the Ku Klux Klan are just a few examples of heavily impacting events for the United States. During the Reconstruction period there were numerous political transformations in the country.
