The shooting of a Cache County Jail inmate that one Cache official said was an “uncomplicated case” which would only take a couple of weeks to complete is now in its fourth week.
Details are still sparse concerning the Jan. 16 shooting that hospitalized an inmate who was shot will a non-lethal weapon.
“He was not shot with a firearm but I can’t go into a lot of details,” said Lt. Doyle Peck, of the Cache County Sheriff’s Office. “It was a less lethal option, it was not life threatening in any way and he was given medical attention.”
Cache County Sheriff’s Office chief deputy, Matt Bilodeau, said Peck’s two-week estimate was optimistic.
“We still have no report yet and there is no time frame,” said Bilodeau. “The investigation has not concluded.”
The case was handed over to the Davis County

Bilodeau said it’s all about transparency.
“When you work with somebody you have certain people you hook up with or go to coffee with and you form friendships,” Bilodeau said. “Any internal investigation creates conflict and friction even if everything was concluded to be fine.”
Bilodeau said having a third party investigate throws any questioning of integrity, motivation and self-protection out the window. Adding that the Cache agency has been calling third parties to investigate long before the protocol was officially implemented.
“In our own agency if something was brought into question we would go to another agency and ask them for resources,” said Bilodeau. “It’s not a brand new practice by any means, all the law did was formalize it.”
Since its formation in December, the Utah Critical Incident Investigative Team has been invoked twice: Once by Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office for an in-custody death of an inmate; and once by the Cache County Sheriff’s

I Officer Zagada called officer Sultemeier over the radio and asked him “why are you bringing out two girls.”
All the law enforcement personnel bowed their heads in prayer. There were no reporters present. This was an official briefing on the progress made by the Crucifixion Killer task force, conducted for the benefit of the Maryland State Police.

North Platte was still a town in the United States in World War Two. This meant they were still given ration books. North Platte and all the surrounding towns helping the canteen had limitations on sugar, coffee, gasoline, among many other items. People stopped drinking coffee, and children stopped asking for birthday cakes. Together they pooled together all of their rations to make food for the soldiers.

In life some feel the need to prove something to others. That they are better, stronger, or even more intelligent. Whatever the case may be people will go through extreme measures to prove themselves. But who do we really need to prove anything to? Is it our parents?
People rebel when no justice being served. It is understandable why people act a certain way. Have you ever loved someone more than yourself? A person is your biggest pride and joy to be safe? Can you imagine how it feels to no longer have your pride and joy with in a split second, due to the way they look?
Sam Brownback, the 46th Governor of Kansas, has one goal in mind and that is to make Kansas the best place for families to grow. However, as of now, Brownback is not able to achieve his goal because he had caused a massive state debt due to cutting taxes. These controversial actions can put Kansas in a dark hole. Brownback was elected again by the Kansas citizens in 2014. Sam Brownback should not have been elected again as the Governor of Kansas because he is cutting money for public schooling, he is increasing the tax rate on the lower class and middle class to make up for his debt, and increasing taxes are causing Kansans to flee.
In today’s society, we have former National Football League(NFL) quarterback Collin Kapernick who’s no longer in the NFL because of his protest against racial inequality. However, many people believe he is no longer in the NFL because of his talent. Kapernick led the 49ers to Super Bowl 47. Although they didn’t win, he threw for 302 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 62 yards. Therefore, he didn’t get kicked out of the league because he wasn’t good enough, but for sitting down during the national anthem.

Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. He wanted to be independent from his parents and friends so Chris did something that would be insane for most of us humans but to him, it wasn’t. He went into the wild of Alaska for months, in fact, McCandless even thought he could make it out alive at the end of his journey. As a matter of fact, he was known as being a risk taker and enjoyed being out and about in the nature side of the world. Many would believe that Chris McCandless went into the wild to purposely kill himself; however, I myself believe that McCandless did not do it purposely.
It took just forty five days for United States citizens to acquiesce their rights to freedom and privacy for the sake of safety following the events of September 11, 2001. Forty five days is how long it took the United States Congress to pass a law that gave up the very concept of liberty upon which this country is founded. The morning sky was a brilliant shade of blue with not a cloud in sight in New York on that fateful day of September. That all changed at 8:45 AM when a Boeing 767 jet plane tore into the north tower of the World Trade Center. Eighteen minutes later, a second Boeing 767 bit into the sixtieth floor of the south tower.
