Book Reports On Night By Elie Wiesel

Elie Wiesel tells his story about his time in a concentration camp during World War Two in his very own book, Night. He was only 13 years old in the comfort of his home in Sighet, Transylvania, until the Nazis invaded and began tearing his life apart. Once Elie and his father get to Auschwitz, you'll see Elie's survival chances fall, due to carrying his fathers weight, only dragging him further down.

The book Night is about escaping because it’s either that or death. In a couple times of the book they have a chance of escaping. Like when Moshe the beadle was crammed onto the cattle train he manages to escape. He came back running to house to house telling everyone about the trains. The trains would make their way into Poland then taken over by the gestapo.

The death march in Night by Elie Wiesel is started when all the prisoners were forced to leave the camp that they were at and relocate to a new camp. The night was very cold and snowy, and Elie’s foot was already hurt because of some pus that was in it. His only choice was to go on with the march on a hurt foot or stay in the camp and probably die anyways. He decided to go on the march because he wanted to be with his father and he didn’t want to die helplessly. At around six at night, the entire camp lines up in formation and they all started marching block by block.

The book Night by Elie Wiesel is about Elie and his father and how they have to trust each other, have confidence, and never give up each other no matter what happens. In this book Elie and his family are sent to concentration camps. Elie and his family and have to work hard together. Elie and his family cannot give up and have to believe. There are many challenges during their journey and they have to survive through them.

World War 2 started in 1939,the Nazi began ordering Jews to wear a yellow star on their clothing so the Jews could be easily targeted .Began in 1932 and ended in 1945.It is estimated that 11 million people were killed during the Holocaust, 6 million of these were Jews.1.1 million children were murdered. Elie Wiesel’s famous book Night was first published in French in 1958 and in an English translation in 1960.He published his memoir after a 10 year vow of silence only at the urging of Francois Mauriac, whose account of his meeting with the young survivor appears as a foreword to Night’s French and English versions. I’ll be talking about a book called “Night” it's about a jewish boy who goes threw the holocaust with his father. I will be talking about how food was a big part throughout the book and how they struggle to get it and how they use it to get thing or they give things to get it. In the beginning of the book it talks about how food is a big part but in the beginning it didn’t seem to hard in fact it talks about how each and every day they had bread and soup for the day. In the book it almost sounded easy to get it but it also talks about how they had to work to get the food they had.

Night is a book that has a very strong theme that I believe strong hearted reads would really enjoy. Night describes the life of a young Jewish man Going through the hardships of the holocaust and every struggle that went along with such a hardship. The author Elie Wiesel describes how the struggles of the intense work camps, the low rations that they were given to eat and the continuous beatings that were force upon his people. I believe that this book is intended for a mature audience. It describes many graphic and gruesome scenes that a child should not b introduced to.

Hitler killed and tortured many innocent people, and gained a following known as the Nazis. World War II lasted six years in Europe, however many people didn’t anything about it for years. Today people have technology and can communicate with others in a matter of seconds. However in 1939 this technology was not available and that lead to people being in the dark to what really was happening. I think the world didn’t do anything because they were scared and thought it was unbelievable or because they didn’t know in the first place.

The Holocaust was a very terrible history of Germany, this happened many years ago, and people in Germany were ashamed of what they did. The Holocaust started in January 13, 1933 and end in May 8, 1945. During that time Jews were sent to concentration camp. Elie Wiesel, the author of the book called Night, he was one of the Jews that got sent to the concentration camp. During that time, he had a very terrible experience in the concentration camps.

Elie Wiesel decided to write about his experiences during the Holocaust resulting in the book Night. Elie was one of 11 million people that were targeted. From 1933 to 1945 millions of Jewish people were dehumanized and treated like everything but a human being. After the Holocaust, it was discovered that 6 million Jews were killed.

Elie Wiesel: Elie Wiesel is the author of Night, his famous memoir of his terrifying and tragic experiences during the Holocaust. He was 15 years old when he and his family were deported to Auschwitz, the notorious Nazi death camp and symbol of genocide and terror. His mother and younger sister died there, while his two older sisters survived. Wiesel and his father were later transported to Buchenwald, where his father died shortly before the camp was liberated in April of 1945. Elie Wiesel was born in 1928 in the town of Sighet, now part of Romania.

In Night. People in concentration camps tried to protect each other but struggled very hard to do so. Sometimes, they barely had a chance to begin with. For example, Elie witnessed someone kill himself because they already committed all he had left to taking care of a family member and was stuck. “A terrible thought crossed my mind: What if he had wanted to be rid of his father?

For the dead and the living we must all bear witness” -Elie Wiesel. Those are the words of a brilliant survivor of the Holocaust. He is saying that we all go through something awful, but everyone need to go through something hard to feel fulfilled. April 11, 20,000 inmates were still inside the camp. At six o’clock American tanks came to the gates to fight for the Jews’ freedom.

Throughout the story Night by Elie Wiesel, the most relevant themes that stand out are dehumanization as the Jewish people are labelled as nothing, loss of faith because their constant struggles makes them question a higher power and camaraderie between one another to sustain the death
