The observation of baseline data assisted me in concluding what stimuli were responsible for my behavior. The first being a result from carrying out various tasks that causes an extensive amount of mental strain or frustration. Meaning that certain types of tasks such as, quizzes, exams, or working on projects caused me to subconsciously pick and irritate my face. I have concluded that this behavior is used as a method of concentration or relief in a stressful or irritating situation. This theory could be further applied to participating in the university cheer program.
