The Beauty Pageant Mystery Kidnap. Child. Murder. Three words a parent never would want to hear. It is a parent’s nightmare to hear that their child is dead and that they will never see them again. Unfortunately for the Ramsey family, their worst nightmare came true on the morning of December 26, 1996. As Patsy Ramsey woke up early that December morning, she assumed it would be like any other day. She’d wake up, make a cup of coffee, and wait for her children to leave their bedrooms. However, she never got the chance to make her coffee because she found something much worse. A three-page note was left on their spiral staircase, a ransom note. It demanded $118,000.00 or else six-year-old,

Police put them under heavy observation since the family refused to talk to them at first. The Ramseys were under such heavy suspects that in 1999, a grand jury almost indicted Jonbenét’s parents on charges of child abuse. However, there was not enough evidence to support it. (The Tragic Murder 00:07:14-00:07:26). Evidently, JonBenét was strangled and beaten in the basement of her home. Someone like Patsy or John could have strangled their daughter since the weapon used to do so was handmade inside their home. A broken paintbrush and rope were used together to make a garrote and kill JonBenét. During the investigation, it was found that the paintbrush was taken from Patsy's craft kit. Not only that, there were fibers stuck on the tape that belonged to Patsy (Inside the Day 00:03:09-00:03:46). Furthermore, when police asked John to see if anything was missing, he decided to check the basement first, which just so happened to be where JonBenét was killed. Unfortunately for the investigation, much of the evidence found was contaminated, especially when John took the tape off JonBenét’s mouth and brought her up the stairs (JonBenét Ramsey). Based on this evidence, I believe that Patsy and John both had something to do with the murder of JonBenét. The fact that the items used to physically hurt JonBenét were from Patsy, and John knew exactly where to look first, cannot be a
Jonbenet Ramsey’s body was found on December 26, 1996. Her family was essentially the American Dream. Jonbenet was a toddler beauty queen; she was following in the steps of her mother (Patsy Ramsey) who was Miss West Virginia in 1977. Her father (John Ramsey) was President and Chief Executive Officer of Access Graphics, they were pretty rich. Jonbenet also had a brother named Burke Ramsey who was nine at the time of the murder, and who now lives in Charlevoix, MI.
JonBenét Ramsey was a six year old girl from Boulder, Colorado. She lived in her home with her mother Patsy, father John, and brother Burke. JonBenét was known for her beautiful smile and success in beauty pageants, after following in her mother's footsteps in pageantry. This little girl’s sparkly, fun life took a turn on December 26th, 1996 when she was murdered in her home. Patsy Ramsey awoke around 5:30 am to begin her morning with coffee.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking. My original hypothesis was that the murder was an inside job. To me it didn’t seem plausible that an intruder could climb through a window, go all the way upstairs, us a stun gun on JonBenet and Take her down to the basement and kill her without making a sound or alerting the three people sleeping in the Ramsey household. Watching the CBS television special was vital in proving my hypothesis.
The following day the fourth ransom note was received by Dr. Condon, which indicated he would be acceptable as a go-between. The sixth ransom note was found on March 12. The doctor met an unidentified man, who called himself “John”. They discussed payment of the ransom money. The stranger agreed to furnish a token of the child’s identity.
The death of Jonbenet became national news worldwide and so did the investigation. Lots of questions and assumptions were investigated but her killer was never found. Jonbenet Ramsey “was a 6-year old beauty queen who was found murdered in her parents’ Boulder, Colorado home on December 26, 1996”(biography.com). JonBenet’s mother was a beauty pageant queens as well. “Ramsey won her first competition in 1994 at just four years old at the Colorado State All-Star Kids Pageant.
Many had suspected that the Ramsey family had some involvement in the demise of JonBenét. However, according to a quote by crimemuseum.org “In 2008, the Boulder District Attorney’s office announced that due to recent developments in DNA technology, the Ramsey family is-no longer considered to be involved in the murder of JonBenét Ramsey(Crime Museum, LLC).” With no new leads or positive hits on DNA samples, the JonBenét Ramsey case has gone
JonBenét Ramsey, a six-year-old beauty queen daughter of Patsy Ramsey and John Ramsey found murdered in her home on December 26, 1998. This murder has yet to be solved, and as the years go by, the case seems to get colder and colder. As a result, there have been many conspiracy theories in this case. Many people have started to believe that an intruder murdered her, but what if it was someone in the house? Maybe someone very familiar with this home.
This action immediately contaminated any evidence found on her body. Ever since that fateful day in 1996, this case has remained unsolved and continues to puzzle detectives all across the country. Many people have been called into question as to who killed JonBenet Ramsey, but they all have been exonerated for her murder. Two of the most notable people called into question was John Mark Karr and Gary Oliva. Both Karr and Oliva confessed to the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, and both served some time for confessing to her murder but both have been exonerated because they did not match the DNA evidence found on her body.
JonBenet brought life into many things and loved nature and math, but her death didn't add up. Although signs point to JonBenet Ramsey's family and others to John Mark Karr/a third party accountable for JonBenets murder, the more plausible theory is that JonBenet Ramsey's family is guilty of murdering JonBenet. To begin, Michael Newton, holder of a doctorate in counseling psychology, acknowledges the three-page ransom note: “No family member
Blog post 1 Today I read “20 years later, JonBenet Ramsey murder remains unsolved. Why?” which was about the evidence that has been found in the past 20 years about the murder of 6- year old JonBenet, and why the case is still unsolved. Authorities today have acknowledged early mistakes made in the investigation by the Boulder County police on the day of the murder.
Specifically, many people believe Burke Ramsey was responsible for the murder of JonBenet and the Ramsey parents covered it up. This essay will highlight the evidence behind their alleged involvement. To understand how the Ramseys allegedly killed JonBenet, it's important to know what happened to her and the hours leading up to her disappearance. On the morning of December 25, 1996, Mrs. Ramsey found a ransom note demanding $118,000 for the return of her daughter.
Little JonBenét was found dead on Christmas day 1996 in a basement where her father John Ramsey found her corpse. JonBenet’s neck has been strangled along with injuries on her skull. There is no doubt that not only was she murdered and strangled but also molested. What truly has occurred on that day and year was a tragedy and a misunderstanding of what has happened to this little girl is still unsolved until there is more evidence. The murderer of JonBenet could have been anyone yet the fingers were only pointed at the family.
On the night of December 26, 1996, JonBenet Ramsey, a six-year-old beauty queen, appeared dead at the crime scene. The autopsy showed that someone strangled her to death. Also, her skull had gotten fractured, and she also appeared sexually assaulted. The ongoing investigation has multiple suspects, but none seem totally guilty. The police found JonBenet dead in her basement.
This ransom note was oddly two and a half pages long in length, the shocking part is that this note was written with a notebook pad and pen from the Ramsey’s home. Specifically, Patsy Ramsey’s notebook which still had the imprints of the writing. This means that the note was written during the scene. Former Boulder Police Chief Mark Beckner who headed JonBenét’s murder investigation, said that experts had never heard of a ransom note of this length. Odd enough, the ransom note demanded 118,000 dollars in return of JonBenét.
JonBenet Ramsey who was a young loving beauty queen of Colorado, who’s live was taken way too early. JonBenet was murdered in her home in Boulder Colorado on December 26, 1996 at the age of six. After completing my research, I was able to make a prediction of who I believed murdered the incent child, and it did not take much research to see the mistakes made by the Boulder Police Department. The Boulder Police Department made numerous mistakes in the JonBenet Ramsey case.
