World War II Timeline Essay

Although the wars were very similar the wars did have a difference, world war one was more wester v.s. world war 2 which was more global. In world war 1 the war was fought in europe and most of the countries that were involved in world war 1 were in europe. Most other countries just helped out. In a picture of the rhineland it shows that the war was fought with france, germany, United Kingdom, and Holland.(doc 5) While in world war 2 way more countries not located in europe joined the war. WWII Rough Draft The Holocaust all started back in 1933 when a leader named Adolf Hitler started a Nazi group that were out to kill Jews. Not all Nazis that were led by Hilter really were against the Jews. Some of the Nazis liked the Jews but were forced to either kill them or put them in concentration camps that housed jews. The concentration camps detained jews in horrible conditions.

The Holocaust took place during the years 1933 to 1945. It was an attempt to remove all of the Jews, and other smaller groups such as homosexuals and Jehovah's Witnesses, which lived in the country of Germany. The events that took place during the holocaust were lead by a German man named Adolf Hitler. Schindler's List is a film about the Holocaust from a man named Oskar Schindler's perspective as a leader of a concentration camp. The film displays the five stages of the Holocaust.

World war 2 was the war that changed many views on the economy: during world war 2, women finally had the chance to work in jobs that were not previously opened to them. This war was a turning point for The United States; World War 2 was the war that opened many opportunities, not only for women but for people of color too. Hitler was the main aggressor during 1939 who everyone appeased to, who is infamously known for his rise to power, his persecution of Jews, and his attacks on the world to dominate, that killed so many. Neville Chamberlain, the British Prime Minister, believed in the policy of appeasement and appeased Hitler at the Munich Conference which eventually lead to the start of World War II. The Western Powers responded to aggression with appeasement, and in 1939 the world was plunged into World War II, proving to the world that collective security is a better response to aggression. Hitler’s aggression was the main reason why Allied powers felt the need to appease. In 1930, after the Reichstag fire, Adolf Hitler rose to power because he was appointed

World War I ended in 1918 with the victorious Allied powers, and the peace-promising Treaty of Versailles. However, this treaty 's peace did not last long as its unrealistic demands caused strong resentment within the Central powers against the Allied powers. Territorial losses, reparation payments, and inflation all left Europe in economic ruins. The damage and destruction that resulted from World War I paved a clear path that allowed for World War II to occur. It began in 1933 when Adolf Hitler gained power and, with the help of the Nazi Party, turned Germany in a totalitarian dictatorship.

Being a woman or  an african american in the years of 1941-1945 was a harsh thing. Imagine being a woman and going to work, and you want to go home and rest but you can’t because you have to clean the house and take care of your family. Or being an African American and being segregated when they are working. But also being a Latino and getting benefits from the G.I Bill. An event that led up to the entrance and involvement of the United States in World War II was the Great Depression.

Expository Report “We must do something, we can’t let them kill us like that, like cattle in the slaughterhouse, we must revolt”. These are the words from many men surrounding Elie Wiesel as he entered Auschwitz, calling out for rebellious toward the Germans harsh conditions. Of course they had no idea what they were getting themselves into, many thought that there was nothing wrong until boarding the cattle train that would send them off to their final resting place. Life during the holocaust was torturous to say the least, so much so that some 6,000,000 lives were taken during this time in Jewish descent alone. People of the Jewish descent did not have it easy; they either were forced out of their homes into concentration camps, or they would hide out only to be found and killed of they remained in their settlements.

After WWII, society took a drastic change for the better in America. America had just gone through the Great Depression, which was the deepest decline in America’s whole history and everyone was affected. Numerous people lost their jobs and were no longer able to afford basic necessities like a house, food, and water. Many could no longer support their families and had nothing. This was all in result of the market crashing, sending the economy into a downward spiral.

The Holocaust was one of the most devastating times for all of the world. It strained the world’s economy and resources; death tolls were tremendously high and injuries were severe. This was one of the worst events in our world’s history. For the 12 years that Germany was ruled by the Nazi Party, a central belief was that there existed in society, certain people who were dangerous and needed to be eliminated for German society to flourish and survive (Impact of the Holocaust).

"Do you know why most survivors of the Holocaust are vegan? It's because they know what it's like to be treated like an animal,” as said by Chuck Palahniuk, the man himself. The term Holocaust has been studied by many different sceintists for over 30 years and The holocaust was a very murderous event killing over 11 million people. The man who lead the very murderous event was Adolf Hitler. In some schools, the teachers try not to even bring up the holocaust because they try to forget about it.

The Holocaust was an execution of 8 million Europeans, and “ 6 million of the Europeans killed were Jewish women, children, and men that were brutally murdered” (Strahinich 7). It “was a catastrophe in our modern history” (Strahinich 7) now staining our history pages with hundreds of innocent people’s blood, forever lost in the grounds of the Holocaust. It took “place in Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Latvia, and Czechoslovakia” (Altman 9) is some of the places where hundreds died. Thanks to “Adolf Hitler” (Strahinich 8) and “the Nazis government” (Strahinich 10), they “plunged most of Europe” (Allen 7) into turmoil, taking lives that did not need to go.

Anne Frank The Voice of the Holocaust Writer, diary, and inspiration are some words people often think of when they hear about Anne Frank. Many people know that she wrote a diary and was a Jewish citizen during World War II, but she was so much more. As a Jewish girl in hiding who experienced suffering and fear at such a young age, her story inspires hope and resilience in the face of death and destruction. Anne Frank changed the world by showing what life was like from the inside out of affected areas during World War II. She wrote her diary that helped others realise the true horrors of war.

Was Hitler a Ruthless tyrant, masterful tactician, or a cowardly leader? The Holocaust was the systematic persecution and murder of around six million Jews by Hitler and the Nazi party.
