William George Bonin, also known as the Freeway Killer, became a part of America's long list of serial killers. After he kidnapped, raped, and murdered fourteen teenage boys between 1979 ans 1980. With the help of his four accomplices; Vernon Butts, Gregory M. Miley, William Ray Pugh, and James Micheal Munro, Bonin stalked Los Angeles County for boys that fell between the ages twelve and nineteen. The first victim in a long list of lives lost was Marcus Grabs, a seventeen year old German student traveling the United States. Marcus was stabbed a total of seventy seven times, sodomized and strangled to death. His naked body was found the next day on August 6, 1979, with a cord wrapped around his neck. My serial killer was William George Bonin. He was also referred to as the “Freeway Killer”. Bonin was a Caucasian male, born in Connecticut on January 18, 1947. He was born the 2nd of 3 brothers. Both of his parents were alcoholics and his father was compulsive gambler.
Jeffery Dahmer was an American serial killer in the 80s Dahmer killed 17 young men over the course of 13 years. Jeffery Dahmer was a child who was neglected by his parents, due to his father working continuously and his mothers addiction to drugs; therefore, he felt like never received any affection from either of them. The only bonding he and his father had was dissecting roadkill in the garage, thus teaching his son skills to utilize on his victims. By the time he was 18, Dahmer was already struggling with his personal desires, his hidden homosexuality, and fantasy for murder; however, this fantasy did not become reality until June of 1978 when Dahmer picked up a hitchhiker named Steven Hicks and murdered him. Jeffery Dahmer, “the Milwaukee Cannibal” who was an American serial killer, murdered 17 and cannibalized some young men from 1978-1991; however He was caught in 1991 when one of his victims escaped.
By late 1979, the Golden State Killer, now known as Joseph DeAngelo, was targeting people in southern California. He continued to rape female victims, then brutally murdered them and their male partners (if present). He killed 11 women Victims, including two children who he raped before he murdered them in and around Rochester, New York. Shawcross was the type of Killer who enjoys mutilate his victims and committed to acts of cannibalism. Most of the murders Shawcross committed took place when he was imprisoned and released for the child murders he did.
The serial killer I chose to write about is Charles Manson. He was the leader of the Manson Family Cult. He was born in 1934 and he died in November 2017 from natural causes. The brutal attacks started in 1969, when he and his followers broke into the home of Sharon Tate. Sharon Tate was an actress and she was eight months pregnant when she killed by the Manson family.

Lucas confessed to many murders, claiming he targeted female hitchhikers that were national vast. Henry Lee Lucas was an infamous murderer born to alcoholic parents Viola and Anderson Lucas in Virginia in 1936.
During the times of 1972 to 1978, John Wayne Gacy Jr. killed 33 people in the Chicago area. He was known for raping, torturing, then strangling his victims (SC4). Then he would dispose of the bodies by either dumping them into a river or hiding them beneath his house. He wasn't caught until after the murder of his final victim in 1978. Then he became one of the most famous serial killers in American history.
John Wayne Gacy was one of America’s most notorious serial killers. Born and raised in Chicago, Gacy would go on to kill thirty-three boys within the Des Plaines area of Chicago, Illinois. He would rape, torture, then finally suffocate every single one of his thirty-three victims within the very walls of his own home. Having killed that many people, he became the serial killer with the most amount of confirmed kills in the United States at the time. He would be caught in early 1978 and sentenced to twenty-one life sentences, twelve death sentences, and to be executed by lethal injection, which would not happen until over a decade later in the middle of 1994.
Police were unsure of this killer at first. He would often kill with knife, hammer, and gun, rape victims genitally, orally, and anally, and on a random occurrence would mess with the bodies after being deceased, rarely, he would let his victims live. However, he would leave signs behind that eventually lead back to him. Ramirez was arrested on August 31, 1985. However, this arrest was not an easy one.
