Were the innovations and inventions like the spinning jenny, the power loom and the cotton gin important to the old world's Industrial Revolution? The industrial revolution was the movement of the change of people's way of living as well as their way of making produce during the late 1700s and the early 1800s. The Spinning Jenny was a tool used by the first factories of the cotton mills . The increase of the amount of yarn made a day was twice as much as a regular spinning wheel would have done this brought more of the factories to produce faster .Even though the power loom was very similar to the spinning jenny only that this machine was steam power machine.This was an innovation since they improved the machine by making it run by water this made more products to be easily made and faster to be produced which brought better economy and more labor for the workers. The cotton gin was an invention made by Eli Whitney in the year 1794. The cotton gin was very helpful to the people that worked in the fields. The machine helped the labor the slaves did to be easier in a way because they would not need to pick out the cotton seeds from the cotton fiber by hands.The machine also brought cotton to be a main crop for many farmers because it was a successful crop that made the south to have an increasingly amount of cotton fields.
