Why Did The Revolutionary War Began

Revolutionary War Response It all began with “the shot heard round the world,” also known as the shot that was fired at Lexington and Concord in Massachusetts on April 19th, 1775. This signaled the start of the American Revolution. However, another factor that led up to the battles were the lack of civil liberties and the efforts to regain them by the colonist. A combination of different conflicts that arose between Great Britain and the thirteen colonies resulted in battles fought for independence, and equal rights amongst all of the people.

The American Revolutionary War was a war fought from 1775-1783, also known as the American War of Independence, between the Kingdom of Great Britain and the thirteen colonies. The colonies wanted independence and free from British rule. In order to gain their independence the colonies had to fight for it.

The Revolutionary War was between the British and the Americans, at the time known as the colonists. The war started when salutary neglect was inflicted upon the colonists. When the neglect was lifted the British came back and began taxing the colonists without representation from the colonists. This began the revolts and rebellions by the colonists. During the time when the British left the colonists came up with a new government and began to use it.

Washington was a genius on the battlefield and came up with helpful tactics. He also obtained the ability to keep his struggling army together. Washington not only lead his army, but guided, directed and motivated them to persevere and keep going.

The increase of taxation led to a crisis from colonial people. Riots were established to those who initiated or supported the taxes, stealing everything from some members homes but the foundation and walls. Groups were formed of colonialists who sought liberty, declared the excessive taxation as unconstitutional and fought to protect what they felt were consumer rights. This all lead to the great American revolution in which once the Stamp Act was placed by the parliament, colonial society then produced a stamp act congress to counteract the parliaments decision. This establishment led to the Continental Congress, which eventually separated the colonies from the parliament to then govern themselves and cut ties to the English Crown moving towards

The American Revolution came about after much conflict with Great Britain. Mostly, the conflict was over taxation that the colonies saw as unfair. You see, the colonies were still under the control of Great Britain, which was ruled by King George the Third. At this point in time Great Britain was in very serious financial debt due to the French and Indian War.

The American Revolution was a time period where there were 13 colonies in America exploring more of the land everyday, The british shared the land with people who are called the pilgrims and ended up soon turning into Patriots and after that Americans. Great Britain started abusing their colonists while there were shootings and many taxes of colonists, many were unfair, and this led to the revolution. This war was between The Patriot/Americans against the British/Loyalists. The revolution happened because a few major events in history took place in Boston others will say it as British Territory.

The American Revolutionary defined what our country is today and gave us our freedoms. Without these significant events throughout our American history we would not have our modern day society. The official start of the war was in 1775 at the Battle of Lexington and Concord when the first shots were fired. Although that was the official start, there was much more tension and build up beforehand. After the Seven Years’ War, Britain was in over their heads in debt and therefore they decided to raise taxes in order to help pay it off, but the colonists were not happy about that.

America governed themselves until these acts became law. The reason for the Revolutionary War was the passing of taxes in Parliament without representation for the Colonist, and the organization of the Sons of Liberty lead by Sam Adams which boycotted and rebelled against the Tea Act. The Patriots hated Britain for their taxes and laws. So they went off to war. There was just one problem, they did not know how bad the conditions were going to be.

The people questioned whether England should be able to tax them, and had thought that England should no longer be able to tax them without representation.
