If he got this, it would mean the world to him. This was the famous “Brady Ball”. This was a ball in a glass case with Nates favorite players signature written on it, it was Tom Brady’s signature. Getting this was something Nate had to do, there was only one obstacle standing in the way, the price tag. This autographed ball had a whopping price tag of 500 dollars. For the past 3 years, Nate had been saving up for this one ball. Once he finally got all the money, his parents took him to the nearby mall. He made his way to the sporting goods store. Nate walked up to the counter and said “I’d like to buy that Brady ball”. This quote changed his life forever. While paying for the ball the clerk mentioned that if you made a purchase of 500 dollars or more, which Nate had, that whoever that person is can sign up for the million dollar throw. The million dollar throw was a pass from 30 yards away and the ball had to make it through a one foot wide hole in a wall. The contest would be held in Gillette Stadium in Foxbourogh, Massachusetts at halftime of thanksgiving night game. This was the stadium of the New England Patriots, it would be amazing just for Nate to be in that stadium, let alone making a million dollar
Burro Genius is a memoir of Victor Villaseñor, it is a great book for people to read, it describes all the horrible experiences and how misunderstood he was growing up. The book Burro Genius does a really good job of telling Victor Villaseñor story and how hard it was growing up in the United States being Mexican. The books starts off with him attending a conference for new authors; he was the speaker of the event, but when he began to talk about all of the bad experiences he had growing up everybody was shocked and could not believe what he was saying. Then the book transitions into him being five years old and attending school for the very first time.

Everyone is different. We all have our own personalities and we all take different directions in our lives. People often find themselves lost in this giant world and feel as if they can't share what they are truly thinking or feeling. They hide their personalities and shield themselves from the people of the world, and the quote "Character is what you in the dark." all the more true.

How is it that two men that come from identical backgrounds end up being completely opposites? Wes Moore takes us back to his childhood growing up, and also introduces us to a character sharing the same name as him, and similarly, the same lifestyle. Both of the young men shared the absence of a father figure, living in poor neighborhoods, bad influences, and lack of education. While reading, we question “how?” and “why?”
Tom Brady is the greatest football player to ever play the game. This might sound like an opinion, but there are so many facts following from here that it’s basically a true statement that Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T. If you don’t know what G.O.A.T means, well it means that he is just the Greatest Of All Time. It takes a lot to say he is because there are so many other incredible players that have played the sport of football, but none of them are at Tom Brady’s level. He might not be the most jacked guy, but he doesn’t need to be, he is a true leader and mentally a great athlete.
There was not quite enough descriptive adjectives used to describe the characters in the novel and often left the reader feeling left out or confused. In this quote “Before they got into their parents’ cars, Sam and Coop asked ben if he wanted them to come over once they got out of their gear. ”(p 103) there is little to no emotion given from the characters Sam and Coop even though they just lost their important football game it leaves the reader feeling like they didn’t care instead of being disappointed which they were a few paragraphs before. The main protagonist Ben is described as being 11 years old short and respectful but the cognitive process of the child is matched to one of an adult. In the Main conflict Ben helps Shawn become a better quarterback despite wanting to be the starting quarterback and this is often quite unrealistic because at that age most kids are more worried and focused on themselves and would rarely go the extra mile for others while at the same time giving himself a disadvantage.
