“I have a dream”....once said by Dr.Martin Luther King, but now I’ve taken this saying to heart and more serious; because, I have a dream to make it to the National Football League (NFL). I want to be the best there was, the best there was and the best that ever will be, and leave a legacy that only the best players or anyone after me can live up to. Domination is the only thing that comes to mind when I’m on that green turf playing that mindset will carry all the way through high school, and into college and into my NFL career. The mindset of domination isn’t the only mindset, money is another important mindset that I have, it also like a life moral to make money the way you want/doing something u love. My money would also be used positive,maybe a little guudy jewelry,clothes and clothes here and there.

Racism has been an important issue that plays a huge role in today’s society. In Roy Peter Clark’s article “Why it worked”, he expressed his views on Barack Obama’s speech “A More Perfect Union”. Also comparing it to Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. In Obama’s speech he discussed the constitution and racial segregation in America, and the comments made by Reverend J. Wright, his former pastor. He also tells a little about his racial background.

Finally, the Bard of Avon shouldn’t be taught in classes because it’s difficult for students to understand, his work is not culturally diverse, and is outdated for today’s students. Of course though some people would disagree and say that Shakespeare should continue on being taught in class because “Shakespeare is truly a writer for for the whole world” (378). Yes, he may be a great writer but classrooms everywhere so diverse culturally this generation. Dana Dusbiber a english teacher from Sacramento who refuses to teach Shakespeare to her students said “I do not believe that a long-dead, British guy is the only writer who can teach my students about the human condition” ( Bradford Thomas). A dead 400 year guy year old guy shouldn’t be the only one who teaches students of today’s generation the values of love, war, and life.

In both of these, he used pathos and logos to appeal to the audience and fit the occasion, so that he can make the people do something about segregation and defend his ideas in an effective way. If he would not have spoken up and had influenced people to follow him, the world could have ended up still having segregation today. This march had more than two hundred thousand people trying to end segregation. Martin Luther King Jr is one of the most known people in America because, he tried to end segregation and after having many peaceful protest he finally ended segregation. The person I chose to write my declamation speech was Martin Luther King Jr., the reason behind me choosing him is because I believe that he a great impact in American History. Thanks to him, we are all considered to be equally with one another without caring about what you ethnicity is or by the color of your skin. A brief biography of Martin Luther King Jr, he was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta Georgia and was assassinated on April 4, 1968. Before he was known as the man who ended the unfair treatment between the whites and African Americans in the south he was known as being a Baptist Minister. I believe his most important key accomplishment, was him ending the unfair treatment between the whites and African Americans in the south, thanks to him they created the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

No matter who you are or where you have come from, you have undoubtedly heard of the American Dream. The idea that no matter who you are or where you have come from, you can do whatever it is you desire in America. What was once one the main driving forces for immigrants to flock to the new world, has slowly changed over the years, but still holds its value in the eyes of those who are looking for a promising new place to live. The American dream might not hold the same awe inspiring sound that it once did, but for many generations before ours, it was a beacon of hope that helped build the foundation that the United States was built on. And still today the American dream might not be as achievable as it once was, but it is still an important symbol to the American ideology.

The Declaration of Independence, The Emancipation Proclamation, and The Constitution all declared everyone of all color to be free ;however, people are still segregated and denied their rights based on the color of their skin. This speech was the most compelling because there were many rhetorical devices being used which helped emphasize the idea of all men being equal and free.
