During that time they segregated schools for blacks only, transportation for blacks only, and even water fountains for blacks only. Picturing my life during this era makes me grateful for the life that I'm blessed to live now. I have the same goals and opportunities that any minority should have. Freedom of speech gave African Americans a voice that seek to be heard through obstacles and short comings. Powerful figures in that era included people like Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and Malcolm X, who stood up against injustices in our society. Freedom can have many meetings to many people. Freedom to some may mean to be free in a trapped society filled with rules and regulations. Freedom can be revealed to the naked eye in things such as laws, organizations, and even clubs. Freedom to me is living your life however you choose, wherever you choose, and whenever you choose to do so. Angela Davis had once lost those privileges.
The African American community was able to provide for their families and a sense of pride in their own work and send their kids to school. The government was looking for the best interest of the former slaves. On the other hand historians see that time in history as a failure. African Americans were pushed into political positions without the proper knowledge or training. The blacks were not place in a positon to succeed from the very beginning.

Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. The foundation of America is freedom. Freedom from Britain. However, the freedom is limited to white males who own property. When colonists started to immigrate to America, they wanted to escape from under the rule of Britain.
Webster Dictionary defines freedom as a “political right”. To me, freedom is much more than that. Freedom gives me and the people of America the right to do anything we want; it allows us to be ourselves no matter where you come from, or who you are. Unfortunately, America has not always been this way; people of different races were treated like trash on the sidewalk. Frederick Douglass had a first-hand experience to this treatment, and he knew what it was like before America allowed everyone to actually be “free”.
Thus, it was the time of freedom for the African Americans that took them to era where they began to be considered equal to the whites, getting good paying jobs, basic rights, began to be equally respected, renowned as respectable writers, authors and
Even a hundred of years later, African Americans weren’t seen equal and have the same whites. African Americans demanded to be treated the same. It guaranteed African Americans rights to vote. Blacks were not allowed were not allowed to to buy houses or share with whites. They were not allowed to go to whites schools, eat in whites restaurants, stay in white hotels, or go to white laundromats.
The idea of free speech on college campuses and the complications of it stem from those on campuses expressing views that don’t align with popular views. Implications for students who use the idea of free speech as a method for hateful actions and comments should be reprimanded, but the question remains as to whether schools should enforce tougher limitations. The freedom of speech on college campus expands to the freedoms of religion, assembly, press, and protest as well. Freedom of expression allows students to show their own political, social, and cultural views. Removing freedoms of speech and expression have consequences deeper than surface issues.
Freedom I believe once freedom has been won, it can be taken away. If you are being bad or not following the rules, than you should not have the rights to do what you want. Freedom has been given to you for a reason, and you need to use it for that reason. I believe it should be taken away because sometimes freedom shouldn’t always be “free.” You should be limited on what you get to do.
Freedom is the ability to do whatever one wants without restraint. Many people in our country take freedom for granted, while many suffer from the lack of freedom in other countries. Freedom is when you choose all of your actions, which is what was meant for everyone. Making choices of your own is how you learn and grow. When you are in a position without freedom, somebody withholds it.

For every era, people have lived with happiness or have struggled to continue living. In this modern world, people living a fair life are ignorant to how brutal others are living. Living in their environment, they have no food or water, barely fighting to survive and aspire to live a decent life. Although the goal for every society is freedom, is it attainable? People can speak of economic freedom, but words have no meaning if there are no actions to establish that transformation.
Freedom means the power or right to act, speak, or think without restraint, and the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. Freedom is the correction to do what he/she wants, live life, and eat what he/she wants. How do we live free? We live free by not judging other people’s freedom rights. Everyone has their own rights.
According to Sartre, freedom means human consciousness. In other words, it means we have our rights to choose our wills and do what we believe are correct. Not freedom means we do not have the rights to choose our wills and do what we want to do. Jean-Paul Sartre stated that “Freedom is what you do with what’s been done to you. He thought that prisoners should have the rights to choose to react with imprisonment due to the power of consciousness.
However, the principle of Life is Freedom, not control. Contrary to popular belief, we do not achieve freedom by virtue of being in control; instead, our efforts to control others, even our attempts at self-control, fail to liberate. This is because we are already free. In fact, we live in a state of Freedom, in which there are no external constraints, and all limits are self-imposed. Such is the nature of the infinite Life, the one Life, which is our life now.
