There are many demonstrations of young love and its positive or negative impacts. Many people who are in true love wait at least a year or longer before marriage however Romeo and Juliet decide to get married within a few days of knowing each other. To do this Romeo goes to talk to Friar Lawrence and requests his help in marrying them, "And all combined save what thou must combine - By holy marriage” (2.3.60-61). He believes the only thing missing in their love is marriage, however, if they truly loved each other the title of being married should not affect them in any way. Later in this scene Romeo also expresses his want for the marriage to happen quickly, “O, let us hence; I stand on sudden haste” (2.3.93). Their decision reflects only that of impulsive teenagers rather than two people in love. As well as the impulsive decision to marry after not knowing each other for long, their impulsiveness was also shown in how they died. Although some argue they died for each other in a display of true love, they really died as a result of not thinking. For instance, The doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss - A dateless bargain to engrossing death! - come, unsavory guide, - Thou desperate pilot, now at once run on - The dashing rocks thy sea-sick weary bark! - Here's to my love! - O true apothecary, - Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss, I die” (5.3.114-120). As soon as he sees Juliet lying there he makes the decision to kill himself without truly checking if she is really dead. By acting this way, he is showing impulsive behavior. Similarly, as soon as Juliet sees Romeo dead she also hurriedly makes the decision to join him. Showing that in their short lives together they also died as a result of impulsiveness. Clearly, Romeo and Juliet's relationship was mainly based on poor decisions and impulsive actions as opposed to it being based on true
Romeo and Juliet fight for their love despite the rivalry, but their love is doomed from the start. Both lovers die at the end of the play. Misfortune after misfortune leaves many dead and many full of grief, and there is only one person who is to blame for the heartbreaking ending of the play: Romeo. Although Romeo’s actions appear to be that of a lovesick
Statements- Some things that show Romeo and Juliet are in love, is they both are willing to die for each other, they are in love at first sight, and they are very excited to get married right away. In all actuality, this just shows how desperate they were for love and how they were so immature they would just kill themselves and forget about everything they ever once loved. Closing- They didn’t even think about not killing themselves, Romeo immediately went and bought poison when he found out that Juliet was “dead” and Juliet immediately tried to kiss it off his lips when she had seen what he had done and when that didn’t work, she shot herself.
The problem with them being in love is their feuding families. The families involved in the feuding were the Capulets and Montagues. The question is who is responsible for Romeo and Juliets death? Is it Romeo himself, is it Tybalt, or is it their parents, or all three. Lord and Lady Capulet were responsible for their child's death.
In Shakespeare’s story Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet’s love story tragically ends in both of them dying. Their love is what lead them to their deaths, but the cause is debated. “Was it Romeo and Juliet’s themselves? Was it fate? Could it have been the rivalry between the Capulets and the Montagues?”
Similarly, they didn’t even wait a full day of knowing each other to get married. Most couples are commonly together for at least 2 or more years before they even get engaged. In addition, Romeo had not even had a chance to think before he decided he was going to poison himself after he heard about Juliet’s “death”. Likewise, Juliet had just moments before she stabbed herself after seeing Romeo dead.
The first thoughts of Romeo and Juliet that everyone seems to know are two star crossed lovers who ended up killing themselves for each other. But digging deeper into it, no one has truly been able to place fault on a specific character or who's fault it is. Romeo and Juliet is one of William Shakespeare’s infamous plays that was written in 1597 that takes place in Verona, Italy , the story is based on two teenagers falling in love even though their families are ancient enemies. The seemingly beautiful love story unfortunately ends in Romeo and Juliet killing themselves in order to be together. Shakespeare’s purpose in scripting Romeo and Juliet was for couples to be appreciative of their love together and to portray the worst possible scenarios
The text says, “If thy bent of love be honorable, / Thy purpose of marriage, send me word tomorrow.” (2.2.150-151). This is a valid point because of the fact that if Juliet hadn't rushed their relationship and decided to get married to Romeo only a few hours after meeting, Romeo and Juliet would probably have not ended up dying. However, teenage brains are not developed yet, resulting in lack of impulse control.
This idea supports the thesis that Romeo's lack of emotional intelligence and poor decision making caused the tragic ending of "Romeo and
Romeo and Juliet’s deaths are caused due to the scientific nature of love, and its ability to change someone as well as being young and reckless. Being in love can cause fully developed adults to forget who they are and what they stand for. As the author of Doc C states, “Romantic love is an obsession, it possesses you. You lose your sense of self.” (Doc C).
The first reason that Romeo and Juliet are not in love due to the fact that they are too childish to fully understand what love is. During the famous balcony scene, Juliet says, “But to be frank, and give [my love to] thee again, And yet I wish but for the thing I have. My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.” (2.2.31-35).

Do you believe in love at first sight? Romeo and Juliet did and it lead to both of their deaths. Romeo believed that he was in love, a feeling he had never truly felt before. As a young teen, you could expect that he would make some irrational decisions, but nothing like what he did to be with who he believed to be his true love. Romeo Montague 's fatal flaw was his impulsiveness due to falling in love and marry Juliet, becoming a murderer, and taking his own life .
When Romeo and Juliet married they were inexperienced and naive. The couple had disregarded outside factors that came into play later on leading to their deaths. The couple had not only shown impatience but many other factors leading to their
When Juliet and Romeo were faced with a conflict, they would act based upon their emotions rather than coming up with rational solutions that would benefit both parties. They were only thinking in the moment, and not of the future consequences. Unfortunately, their rash decisions led to tragic incidents and the deaths of friends, family, and themselves. The problematic impulsiveness from the main characters could be taken as a moral, that love can control one’s mind to behave recklessly, leading to troubling
Friar Laurence believes that Romeo and Juliet should go, “Go wisely and slow,” he then says that if you go to fast bad thing will happen so he said this, “They stumble that run fast (2.3.94).” Romeo gets this advice while he tries to get Friar Laurence to marry them so he tells them to take it slow and steady. How might they not listen to this advice? They need to learn this lesson because they fall in love without actually knowing each other or even thinking about the consequences. They don't ask who they are they just fall in love.
