Preface to this Guide
Content and Material
Contained in this guide is a multitude of links that a typical aerospace engineering student would find useful in their student career. The links are usually to government or official websites that offer advice or knowledge about aerospace engineering. Specifically, much of this guide is aimed for Penn State Students, with specific sites that will enable them to excel in their studies. These sites include journals, indexes, and numerous sites about aerospace engineering in general.
Audience
This guide is mainly intended for people who are currently or will be studying aerospace engineering. In specific, this guide is most useful for people that are juniors or seniors in college looking for items

Wolfram Alpha is basically a site that acts as a giant, super calculator. The website can do nearly anything in terms as math that you can possibly ask of it. The most important thing is that the website isn’t a solutions website or anything like that- it won’t help you more than a regular calculator could (usually).
The website is a private site and makes the majority of it’s money from pro accounts that give access to more in-depth info about the problems it solves. The site is used by a variety of people of different professions- I’ve been advised to use this resource by professors.
Tips
The pro-version is very valuable in the fact it gives a breakdown of the processes the calculator uses- it shows the actual individual steps and how to solve the problem in the future.
This tool won’t really be able to solve the problem for you, it can only solve the math equations you give it. Using it for things beyond basic math is not a good use for the website, it’s better used to solve either incredibly hard, unsolvable problems or basic problems that would be relatively time consuming not particularly

Description
Proquest is an index, provided through the Penn State Library, that is all about articles and other publications about aerospace engineering. A basic search returns thousands of results- some journals, some articles, some conference information, and all of it very relevant.
This kind of site is used to find very relevant material very quickly. This type of resource can be very useful in finding papers for any type of paper you may be writing.
Tips
The website offers many tools to personalize your search, such as:

The database is very deep, and has documents to the early 1900’s. Considering the topic of flight in the terms of pure design has really only thoroughly been studied since early 1900’s
Charles Lindbergh’s was one of the most famous aviators in the 1920s. He was the first human to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. Charles was working as a mail pilot before he became a successful aviator. His success had open doors for the aviation industry. I’ll discuss my Charles Lindbergh’s impression, technology, process of navigation and accuracy, and the impact it had on the world of aviation.
It is the statistic analysis in the cricket baseball and softball and it measures the performance of batters in baseball. and development of this statistics influenced on baseball, at this moment it can also find out the top hitters too. (Moy, 2006) Third formula is defensive efficiency rating: the ratio of team defensive outs recorded in defensive opponents= 1-((total number of hits-home runs allowed)/(all balls hit into play-home runs allowed))
Feng Ru was an immigrant to the United States, and a self-taught engineer. As a young man, he was driven to “learn all he could about machines, working in shipyards, power plants, machine shops, anywhere he could acquire mechanical knowledge” (Maksel). Eventually, he became fascinated with the new field of aviation. He read and translated information about the Wright brothers, Glen Curtiss, and Henri Farman into Chinese. In 1906, he started his own “aircraft factory, building airplanes of his own design” (Maksel).
The Wright brothers infamous flight at Kittyhawk happened just over a decade prior to the assassination of the Archduke. And up untill the use in the 1911 war between Tyrkey and Libya airplanes were still rather undeveloped, and being used purely for recreation. War lead to an explosion in production and aircraft technology. Two of the major mechanical changes to the aircraft were the propellers being changed from pusher to tractor; meaning that the air was no longer being pushed behind the aircraft, but pulled towards it.
Next, came war. Airplanes have helped us win many wars and protect our country. We used them in WW1 to fight Germany and Austria-Hungary. We then began attaching weapons and guns onto them to give us an advantage. Lastly, we used them for research.
To build such a monumental plane, workers and designers had to construct perfect dimensions within the blueprint. High speeds have been reached along with one of the best UAV systems in military existence. First built in 1966, technological advances have improved the aircrafts performance and abilities. Interesting records and feats to mankind have been accomplished with this piece of art along with many “war stories” from the pilots who have been in the
I found the thesis helper in Questia to be especially beneficial. In conclusion, I found the overall experience with MindTap to be very easy to use and well organized. MindTap is a useful tool that reinforces the textbook with homework exercises and provides services to the student such as Net Tutor and Questia. For a student taking college composition online

Once on the LexisNexis site, there are numerous buttons that give a researcher different options to begin with such as Hot Topic Links - Today’s Front Page News or you can simply type in the word search box. Again, this word search selection will have an impact on the material that will result in but in doing so the results list was varied with no one entity outshining another. This particular results list appeared impartial in contrast to that of the Google or Internet Explorer search engines. There were numerous articles that covered a wide spectrum of authors and regions.
Keeping an open mind and being transparent when doing a literature search is key in producing a comprehensive and meaningful literature review. Discussion 5: 1) Read “How to search evidence” PowerPoint, and 2) discuss at least 5 things what you learned about searching evidence. Five points learned from the Power Point include: 1. Using professional databases such as PubMEd, CINAHL, Cochrane, EBSCO, etc. is essential in finding reliable, current and valid data. 2.
Slowly after the 1900’s different types of planes were being made and they had certain purposes. Big sturdy planes carried a lot of cargo, long thin planes carried passengers. Now almost everybody has rode a plane, it is really an amazing mode of transportation! The Wright Brothers changed the way aerodynamics works by, teaching thousands of pilots how to maneuver a plane.
During World War, I, the United Kingdom and France collectively produced around 130,000 aircrafts and Germany produced around 50,000 aircrafts. Whereas in World War II, the United Kingdom alone produced around 130,000 aircrafts and Germany produced 120,000 aircrafts. Ultimately, it is evident that the development of technology throughout

Mid-Term Paper – Boeing Analysis MGMT 658 Abstract Unlike other manufacturing industries, aircraft manufacturing is considerably large and complicated. It is a field with high risk involvement. Losses incurred can be quite huge due to the size of the industry. Being the case, the aircraft manufacturing industry calls for intrinsic planning and comparatively larger pool of skilled and cooperative manpower for successful production.
With the development of the jet engine; the design of aircraft wings was changed as well. Wings were given a more “swept” design in order to reduce the overall drag of the aircraft. Drag is the force that counteracts the thrust component of aircraft flight. This new wing design was also more structurally sound. This allowed for the variations of pressure on
