I chose Piwik as my web analytic tool of choice because for starters, it is a free open source program which is just as good of a program as Google analytics. Some of the most important areas on piwik are the actions page, which is very beneficial in helping to discover your bounce rate, which in turn, helps to see if visitors landed on your site then immediately left or where they went next.

The referrers section. This area is a great way to find out how your visitors found you, what search engine and keywords they used to find you or if they found you on a social networking site like Facebook or twitter.
