Have you ever read a book actually changed you? That gave you the chills and caused goosebumps to break out across your skin? Violent Ends did that to me, more than once. Reading it left me internally shaken, craving a teddy bear and soft blanket, and half wanting to throw the book and frame it. Violent Ends is an exceptional creature. With seventeen different perspectives and short stories revolving around one teen and the event he caused, Violent Ends is sure to keep people reading for years to come.
All of the different perspectives from the characters in the novel each provide a different version of Kirby Matheson. Some saw him as a lone wolf, a failure, a marvelous guy, an oddball, a love interest, and or a hero. One of the things that struck me the most is that you never truly know who he is, which is part of why I think his novel is so powerful. Each of the differing perspectives of Kirby only adds to the his character, and reading each and every chapter only added another layer to his mystery. Basically, it was like that one giant puzzle that is only missing one piece before it can be completed and you have no idea where that piece is. It is certainly a very unique book.
Also, I loved how each story

It is a terrifying yet wondrous experience to see the aftermath of what our words and actions can bring one person to do. This book does so much with what it is trying to do and say and it completely nails it. I can’t think of a single thing I would ever want to change. Violent Ends left me feeling haunted, feeling a sudden fear of “what if?”. I can’t think of a better book to read if you are looking for something that is going to make you think. It certainly rocked me to my core in a way that I will never forget. I don 't even know what else to say, just that you need to find yourself a copy as soon as
Throughout the book, I also enjoyed the characters that take place in the story. The emotion and well used detail throughout Lockdown is what kept me interested while reading this book. Gordon Smith would describe the characters, certain scenes, and many other things so well, I could produce great imagery “The creature’s face was human-ravaged and mangled and broken, yes, but still with eyes and a nose and a gaping mouth. The skin was marked with fresh wounds, as if a child had been trying to decorate it with a knife, It was naked, but there was something wrong with its skin, like it had been cut open and had something stitched underneath.
I thought the book was pretty good it has action and sorrow and fun stuff and It is pretty exciting.
Although the book 's pacing starts out a bit slow, it quickly gains speed when the conflict is introduced. The wording used in the book is easy to comprehend yet it never seems to be over simplified. The plot is engaging enough to keep the reader’s attention but also manages to be easy to follow. I found that even though the book dragged in portions it was still an overall satisfactory read. I greatly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys books of the YA
In reference to book qualities, this story was very descriptive in its writing style. I found myself picturing various scenes such as when Ralph transported to the 12th Dimension for the first time using his Ralpholator and saw Joe Mode’s manager. While reading this scene, I could picture Mary Ellen Krabofski as a big, green troll. The narrative writing style present was very creative. In particular, the narrative allowed for problems that came about when Joe Mode tried to be like Lucy Storm and to be solved with solutions found by Ralph watching Lucy in the 12th Dimension.
I feel this book was made for those who are having a hard time in their lives. This book may show them that the hard times don't always last. it may also show them that they are not the only ones in a certian type pain. Rather that pain being physically abused, the feeling of being at deaths door, or just simply letting people down. If it hurts than it hurts but, "if you can take it, you can make it.
I do wish that in the beginning the story would have gotten to the journey a bit quicker, and that the plot twist had happened sooner, but over all the book is a well written tale of self discovery and the true meaning of
and I think that you should read it if you haven't yet. I think you will really enjoy it as well and it will be a big eye opener for you. It will make you think about your daily life right
Found among the shadows of the presidential library are many important works. Some of which are not politically inclined. The first edition of dark places resides here. A story of misguided youth and lost souls which seems to be Americas broken record. The reality of the matter being that stories like this are often true or based on factual events that have been swept under the rug so to speak Gillian Glenn 's second novel dark places shows that she had many additional inspiring works to come.
Also, the point of a book is to tell a story. This book does not have much of conclusion and ends with them going to jail. There were many questions left unanswered in this book and as a reader this book seems half-finished. Next, major details were missing throughout the book and this leaves the reader confused. In one chapter, Ava goes to the beach at four in the morning to help save some dogs from a high tide because she volunteers at a pet shelter.
When I read it at first I had just seen this book as a simple one, but as I continued reading I became amazed with the development of the characters, this book becoming one of my favourites from that point of view. The book 's theme is mystery often leaving the reader with unanswered questions, which will be revealed at the end of the book.
I must confess that I do not usually read realistic fiction as my personal choice, however I have read many because they were required reading for my children. This book was quite captivating. At first I was surprised to see how many books this author had written. Choosing a book was quite difficult and my schedule did not allow me to get to the library to check them out to see which one I would read. I finally gave in a purchased the e-book.
The book is really well written and the way the author displayed the emotions and conflicts the characters were going through was very good. I personally admired how strong Karana was and how she kept going when things got tough and how she is smart and brave enough to stay alive. The lessons the book is trying to teach is to never trust strangers, always keep going and never to give up. What kept me reading this book was to see how Karana could get through all this conflicts and somehow make it alright. I would recommend this book to other people because it has all the the key things books need and it sends a good message to everyone that is going through a difficult time in their
It taught me that strength and perseverance can make a significant impact in life. I also learned that forgiveness and the ability to forgive is much more powerful than I ever realized. This novel sucked me into the story and its characters and took me on an emotional ride of highs and lows. Finally, it forced me to reevaluate my previous judgement of the homeless.
I looked at it in interest because it said a memoir so I knew it would be very interesting. Then when I turned it over the writing became very deep into pieces of the story and how it's an amazing book and how it can relate to many others. I went online to look it up and I saw many great reviews and As I began to read this book made me very emotional but some parts it made me smile in joy for her amount of power.
I really enjoyed the challenge the book gave me. I believe this book is a super good book, and I would recommend people to read it. It really got me into the book when Mia found out that her mom and dad were dead. Were Adam and Mia dating in about the middle of the book? I’m kind of confused on how they crashed?
