Respondent three is 24 years old and identify himself as Caucasian. He is unemployed and has only completed his sophomore year in high school. The chapter on "Arguments" in The Little Gator Handbook with exercises by Bullock, Brody and Weinberg gives a breakdown of the primary keys for arguing a position and putting that argument to paper. The authors maintain that to have an acceptable argument, it should be indubitable what is trying to be conveyed, there should be some support for the position you are taking, it should have a noble aspect to enforce the fairness of your argument, and a fair rationalism supported by data which also takes into account the other position. In addition, the authors also propose suggestions for writing an argumentative essay. Throughout this chapter Bullock et al. offer various suggestions for selecting a topic, kindling that topic into further ideas,

Connor, you did a wonderful job on your essay. It appears that you grasped the material and for the most part you articulate your ideas in a clear, concise manner. In an argumentative essay, the writer is stating his opinion and supporting the opinion with evidence. The writer will also use a bridge or warrant to connect the evidence to the point he is trying to convey. A good warrant will help the reader see how the writer formed the argument and why he believes the way he does. While putting the pieces of information together for this essay, I also wanted to add different as-pects when comparing, moreover what I did to make the mini EE interesting was to write interesting facts about the topic, something that the reader might not know. Edgar Allan Poe wrote unusual stories and was even known for his eccentric and gothic style, but “The Purloined Letter” was out of the ordinary for him.
