The Tylenol Murders In 1982, seven innocent Chicago civilians were boldly murdered. In late September of 1982 seven people were killed after an unknown suspect placed cyanide laced Tylenol pills in store bottles. Two main suspects in this unsolved case are James Lewis and Roger Arnold, who had both been linked to this occurrence in some way. The mystery behind the Tylenol murders can be summed up in two theories: Roger Arnold took bottles from the Tylenol distributor that he worked for, poisoned them and placed them on store shelves or James Lewis bought/stole the bottles, poisoned them and placed them on 6 different store shelves. After the deaths of seven innocent civilians, the mystery of who committed this act of terrorism still remains. Siri Agrell who wrote "Breakthrough in the case of the Tylenol Killer?" Stated that it “started on September 29, 1982 when a twelve-year old girl from Illinois named Mary Kellerman” took a Tylenol capsule and later collapsed (Agrell). Back in 1959, Steven Truscott was only a 14-year-old boy who was charged with the murder of his classmate Lynne Harper. On June 9th, 1959, Steven gave Lynne a ride home on his bicycle and after which he headed to the school grounds at 8 pm and then went home. That same night Lynne Harper's father reported her missing and two days later Lynne's remains were found in a nearby wooded area. Her body had been sexually assaulted and she had died from strangulation. Four days later Steven Truscott was charged in Lynne's murder.
On August eighteen, 1992, police were invited to a burning place Somerville, Texas, wherever they found the bodies of 45-year-old Bobbie Davis, her 16-year-old girl, and her four grandchildren, ages four to nine. Davis and in addition the grandchildren had been scraped, crushed and reserved. Davis’s girl, Nicole had fatally shot. A few days later, police inactive Henry M. parliamentarian Carter, 26, the dad of one of the grandchildren, once they detected he had burns and bandages at the children’s ceremony.
Earlier this week, Wade Jamison was fatally shot in his home. The people who are allegedly responsible for this horrific crime are Melvin Simms, R.W. Simms, and Harlan Granger. The Simms brothers carried out the crime, while Mr. Granger paid them a large sum of money to do so. It is thought that the brothers broke into Mr. Jamison’s house around 1:00 A.M. Wednesday morning and tried to shoot Mr. Jamison while he was sleeping. When Mr. Jamison woke up and fought back, the Simms brothers fatally shot him with the gun that T.J. Avery allegedly stole from the Barnetts.
Robert Sheldon murdered October 24th 1962 detectives are currently hunting the killers guided by an anonymous tip stating that the killers are headed for Texas. Through thorough investigation the murder weapon was identified as a knife or switchblade. Tulsa Police believe the killers to be 14 year old Ponyboy Curtis, and 16 year old Johnny Cade who went missing the night of the murder. Detectives believe the murder was an act of self defense as they found strands of dark hair matching that of Ponyboy Curtis. A water test ran by Tulsa police detectives show a high amount of fresh hair grease in the fountain in the park matching the description of Curtis even more.
On October 24th, 1993, Tracy Latimer, age 12, was killed by her father. Robert Latimer, a farmer from Wilkie Saskatchewan decided to take his daughter’s life into his own hands. Tracy was born with severe cerebral palsy, which led to serious mental and physical health problems. This caused Tracy a lot of pain, and no number of painkillers could appease the suffering she felt. Robert could no longer bear to watch his daughter in so much pain, thus making the decision to end her life.
