Tybalt's various traits and actions are responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet In the drama “Romeo and Juliet,“ by William Shakespeare. Tybalt is to blame for the lovers deaths due to his anger against Montagues and the death of Mercutio. If it were not for the malicious acts of Tybalt, Romeo and Juliet would not have not died.
One reason why Tybalt is guilty for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet is because he sends the letter to challenge Romeo to a duel and during the fight kills Mercutio and accident. During the fight Romeo interferes with the fight between Tybalt and Mercutio and leads to Mercutio getting stabbed, “Tybalt under Romeo’s arm thrusts Mercutio in and flies”(5.1.88). Later, when Tybalt kills Mercutio, it sets Romeo into a fit of rage, resulting in Tybalt’s death. Romeo takes all the blame for both deaths since Tybalt is slain, causing a chain reaction that forced the Montagues and the Capulets into a seething battle. The reason Tybalt is to blame is because he started a chain reaction that lead to the deaths of many characters, including Romeo and Juliet. This chain reaction includes three main events. The first event is Tybalt having a hot-head and over reacting at a party.
One of the people to blame is Tybalt, the “killer” of Mercutio. The action of Tybalt killing Mercutio is the leading event that set up the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. It all started when Tybalt confronts Mercutio to try and provoke him while not being the first to attack. Mercutio finally lost it once Tybalt
Tybalt wanted to fight Romeo for showing up at the Capulet’s ball, but Mercutio being a faithful friend decided he would fight on the behalf of Romeo. Romeo steps in the middle of them and Tybalt ends up stabbing Mercutio under Romeo’s arms. Out of anger and wanting of revenge Romeo kills Tybalt and because of this is banished from Verona. ‘“Therefore use none: let Romeo hence in haste,”’ (3.1. 190). One would say Romeo is responsible for their deaths because if he had not been banished from Verona he would have not been far away from Juliet and Friar Laurence could have told him the Juliet’s plan in person.
In the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, there are many deaths caused by many factors. The person that is most responsible for all of the deaths in the play is Romeo. One example is that Romeo is responsible for the death of Mercutio. The day after the party, Tybalt is still mad about Romeo coming and calls him a villain. Tybalt eventually tells Romeo to draw his sword, but Romeo refuses telling him he loves him.
Mercutio can be blamed for the death of Romeo and Juliet. Mercutio... Tybalt picked a fight with Mercutio, and in the end Mercutio was killed. Romeo decides to get revenge for Mercutio’s death and chases after Tybalt, but in the end accidentally kills Tybalt. Romeo feels guilty for killing Tybalt because he was now Romeo’s family and when he sees Juliet in the tomb along with Tybalt, he breaks down.
In the William Shakespeare tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, the sole person responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet is Tybalt due to his actions that infuriated Romeo. Throughout this tragedy, Tybalt is always agitating Romeo and is very aggressive towards him due to the ancient feud between the Capulets and the Montague. Throughout this tragedy, it's shown that Tybalt believes that the capulets are better than the Montagues. On page 348 lines 85 the stage directions say “Tybalt under Romeo’s arm thrusts Mercutio in”(Shakespeare 3.1.85). Then on page 350 lines 126 “ this will determine that”(Shakespeare 3.1.126).

Lastly, Tybalt is the most to blame for the events that occur in Romeo and Juliet because of the the first events he caused leading to the suicides of Romeo and Juliet. The confirmation that Tybalt is the cause of the terrible events in Romeo and Juliet is shown in the play “Romeo and Juliet” when Romeo says, “Is it even so? then I defy you, stars! Thou know ' st my lodging: get me ink and paper, and hire post-horses; I will hence tonight.”
Tybalt always wanted to fight Romeo. Tybalt and Mercutio get into a fight because of some upsetting words Tybalt said. In the fight Tybalt kills Mercutio, which get Romeo upset. Then Romeo kills Tybalt, which gets him banished form Verona, Italy. So the long-standing family feuding and fate are the cause of Romeo and Juliet’s deaths.
