Imperialism in third world countries was a very good thing that impacted the world in a very positive way. The countries that we have today would not be here without the hard working civilized America and Great Brittan. True that they benefited; but we owe our gratitude for our world today to them.
Civilizing the uncivilized is no easy feat. As a matter of fact Great Brittan worked very hard to bring the “third world countries” civilized. As we see in “Learning civilized ways is hard work” it shows a man from a major country making slaves out of the people from the smaller countries. He is saying that by doing whatever he says to do, the people will become civilized. As well as in India (Document 1) “they can also give these people benefit
At the turn of the 19th century, America presented the policy of imperialism and there was a ton of debate over the subject. Some say that imperialism would benefit America by increasing trade and help make this country more powerful. Others say that imperialism would be horrible for America because we are taking over countries without their permission and restricting their choice. The United States should adopt the policy of imperialism because it would help grow our country, increase trade, and help the economy.
The achievements of the areas of the Sub-Saharan region sooner than their substantial relationship with substitute frameworks had been the satisfaction of the all inclusive community in Sub-Saharan Africa, their fine art culture, and their law and value structure. Inside the Sub-Saharan locale of African, people have been genuinely effective. They were successful for a couple of intentions like tutoring. for instance, in document 2 which was formed by Leo Africanus in the mid sixteenth century, states how in Timbuktu, there has been numerous specialists, judges, ministers and distinctive insightful men which may be exceptionally a considerable measure kept up on the ruler's cost. Politics in twentieth-century Latin America changed the ways men and women were allowed to function in government and society. Traditional gender roles , held mostly by men, held women back from working and participating in government activities for most of history. As the twentieth-century moved on this began to change, and feminism and women's suffrage challenged the patriarchal views held by many members of society in Latin America. Many feminists emerged in twentieth-century Latin America, these women fought for their rights to participate in the government, and to vote.
Imperialism was a controversial idea that a nation can extend its power outward through means of diplomatic or military force. This often results in a shift of power from one major force currently in control to another. The people of that nation under control conflict may also experience wars, rebellions, or cultural destruction. Looking at some of these events, we see some positives and negatives of imperialistic action taken by the United States, and how it affected the nations imperialized by the United States. For starters, let’s look at Hawaii’s annexation.
With the passing away of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1707 and the culmination of the might of the Mughal Empire, the Muslims of South Asia faced serious threats to their existence. There was infighting between Mughal princes for the throne, Aurangzeb had spent much of the treasury fighting the Marathas in the South, to no avail; and the Sikhs had risen in Punjab to pose a serious threat to Mughal rule. The division of the court itself created serious problems for the Muslims. Hardly had any ruler settled onto the throne that wars for succession broke out between brothers.
Imagine all your human right’s strip away from you within a second. Throughout history governments have denied human right to a certain group of people by adopting new polices and/or violence. A government using violence against it people to get them to agree or even do what they want is still seen today. Throughout history countries like Cambodia and Rwanda are places where the government look away their people’s human rights.
It may also help to spread political and social values that could promote greater human rights and democracy. On the other hand, imperialism often involves the imposition of foreign rule, exploitation of resources and labor, and the suppression of local autonomy and sovereignty, which could result in significant harm and suffering for affected populations. Overall, from a Utilitarian perspective, imperialism is likely to be seen as morally bad or at least highly questionable, due to its potential to cause significant harm and suffering for those affected. However, the moral evaluation of imperialism depends on the specific context and outcomes of each case, and there may be some situations where imperialism could be morally justifiable or even beneficial in the long run, if it does not cause undue harm to affected individuals and communities. Regarding World War I, the US initially abstained from the conflict, as President Woodrow Wilson sought to maintain a position of neutrality and avoid entanglement in European conflicts.
It was also a very convenient way for the United States to prevent European nations from colonizing throughout China and making a ton of money off of their expansive resources. The policy ensured equal trading rights for the countries that traded with the Chinese people. There were both positive and negative effects of imperialism in China. First, there was the opium wars because the Europeans were losing a lot of silver to China, who had the trading advantage. The west sold opium to the Chinese, getting millions of people addicted to it.
In Avatar there are countless references to imperialism. In the movie, Jake Sully uses an avatar to become one of the Na’vi people for the reason that humans and the Na’vi have problems with each other. Colonel Miles Quaritch gets greedy and wants the materials, specifically the material “unobtainium”, and storms Pandora with his team, ruining an abundance of the Na’vi people’s culture. That is where Imperialism comes in, they used military power to receive what they desire, something that would increase the state of the economy that they lived in.
Imagine waking up one day and being forced to drop every custom and tradition you’ve ever known. This is what many countries had to endure when Americans decided it would be okay to imperialize them. Imperialism is the act of extending a country 's power and influence through diplomacy or military force. By the late 1800’s America started imperializing weaker countries. Americans were not justified in barging into weaker countries, and taking over for their own selfish gain.
Imperialism was not justified for multiple reasons because imperialism did improve the lives of many natives and increased global trade, but the majority of the world ended up hurting from it. The negatives outway the positives
The British manipulated these countries by selling them an immense amount of drugs, invading the country itself, declaring wars, and more. This all is an example of imperialism, although it all came to bite the British back. Imperialism was not justified because it involved a massive amount of manipulation. There was no real

Imperialism means that one country controls all political, economic, or cultural life in another country or region. Europe successfully did this in the Americas and established colonies in South Asia, Africa, and China. Although this would seem like a substantial amount of power, Europe did not gain much influence until later on. Once Europe recognized their own growing control, they embarked on what is now called the “New Imperialism”. Many components played into this seemingly rapid success, but one significant reason was that of the
