Cyberbullying In the United States of America, Cyberbullying has been in the rise. The problem has been facilitated that, technology use has been on the increase by almost everybody. The fact that technological devices such as Smartphone, iPad and laptops has made it easy for people to access the internet and use it for own reasons. Whereas some people use it for good reasons such as research purposes, socializing with their friends and exploring the world, other people have used it to carry out evil and criminal activities. Such activities include Cyberbullying. There has been an intensive debate on this crime in the recent years. Whereas some people feel that Cyberbullying is not a serious offense, most people have argued that it is a serious offense. However, the impacts are getting worse every day with several cases being reported to the police on a daily basis. For instance, those who say that it is a serious offense have cited the several cases that the criminal investigation department is handling concerning the crime. They have also cited cases where young people have committed suicide after their nude photos were posted on social media by cyber bullies. There has been debate on the best way to handle the menace. The purpose of this paper is to discuss how legislation that would criminalize Cyberbullying would serve as the single best solution.
