The book In Cold Blood is written by Truman Capote, an American novelist who wrote about the Clutter’s murder. In Cold Blood is about the murder of the Clutter family in 1959, at Holcomb, Kansas. Although this murder would be an ordinary murder in New York City or a very densely populated city it was very odd in a small town like Holcomb. The Clutter family consisted of Herbert, Bonnie, Nancy, and Kenyon.
On February 15th, 1997, at approximately 2:52 A.M, Sargent Zakrosky responded to the report of a terrible accident at the household of the Onaleds’. Upon arriving, Sargent Zakrosky was met by a resident of the house and was lead to the crime scene. At the scene, Sargent Zakrosky confirmed that there was a dead body at the bottom of the stairs, dressed in a tuxedo. His feet were above his head and his body was still half on the stairs and have off the stairs, faced down. On the stairs everything hanging up was undisturbed.

The house was used for dining, cooking, visiting, and chores. There were normally at least 10 children living in the house and many servants and apprentices. A many named Tristan and his wife moved in along with his 4 children. They lived there for about 50 years or so. His wife was the last one in the coffin.
As you can tell by the title, I’m writing about someone in who has murdered their entire family, all in one house. The murderer's name is Ronald Defeo. This interested me because of how many different stories were heard about this. Before I started doing research on this event, all I knew about this was that someone had murdered his entire family in one night. Others have talked to me about this topic before, but I didn’t think of it as a big case until I started research.

One of the most horrific things that happened during the 20th century was World War One. World War One was where Hitler, the leader of Germany, decided that Jews were the worst religion and that everybody who was Jewish should be killed. Many Jewish businesses were torn down, Synagogues were destroyed, and it was total madness. With all this madness somebody had to do something about it. While Carl Lutz isn’t as famous as the other Holocaust upstanders, his actions of housing and taking care of many Jews showed his bravery.
Their father convinced a French guard to let their whole family stay together because their mother was ill from tuberculosis. Days later, her and her younger sister convinced French guard to let them go to the hospital with their mother. That was the last time they ever saw their father and older sister. At the hospital they convinced another guard to let them go outside, where their grandparents picked them up and put them into hiding for years, sometimes going for days without food.
