The JFK Assassination

The teacher did a good job in explaining the connection between the VP, CIA and others at the time of President Kennedy 's assassination. The teacher broke down the the conspiracy theories of the assassination through discussion and the use of a YouTube video. An great idea to make sure that students remain engaged in videos being shown is called 'WSQ ' or pronounced whisk. It stands for Watch, Summarize, Questions. During the video students take notes on the video.

On November 22, 1963 time froze when the beloved John F. Kennedy was tragically taken from this world. We will be looking at two accounts of the assassination, the first will be the official account AKA, the Warren commission 's report. The second will be from Doug Horne and his 5 volume work with the Assassination Records Review Board. After we have looked at the two accounts I will then tell you what I believe happened.

JFK has been to many states, giving speeches, shaking hands, but there was one state that stood out. Texas was known to not like JFK at all, so much so that JFK’s friends and assiociates warned him not to go saying,”Texas is not Kennedy terriory”(211-212). This is when suspense came into place letting the readers know that theres something could potentially bad happen to JFK in Texas. With many suspensful lines in the story, one of the most suspensful ones are towards readers who dont know anything about what happened.

Kennedy, through this story and many others shows just how much courage is ‘easier said than done’. The mob mentality of the mid 1800s are heightened to exponential levels with billions of people now able to express their opinions instantly to the world, which shows just how special courage can be today. One of the issue focused on the JFK assassination was whether or not he would have won his next election. The 1964 presidential election could have had a totally different result if JFK would have ran for it. According to Yahoo News “JFK had a popularity rating that was 58 percent right before his assassination”. Also, according to constitution center, “that number was higher than Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, five presidents who won re-election.” The world today would have been different if JFK wouldn 't have been assassinated because Lyndon Baines Johnson would not have been elected during the 1964 election.

Many questions occurred concerning the line of sight shot. Oswald was supposedly on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository, shooting at a 17 degree angle. The Limousine was traveling at approximately 11.5 miles per hour. According to the official story put out by the Warren Commission, the fatal shot was one of three fired by lone assassin Oswald.

At 12:30 p.m., on November 22nd, 1963, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s motorcade was passing through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas, when he was shot and killed. His assassination shocked the nation, and the police were quick to react. On the same day, Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested for the murder of John F. Kennedy. Two days later, Oswald was shot and killed by Jack Ruby, a nightclub owner, outside the doors of the Dallas Police Headquarters. With no confession or trial to prove Oswald’s guilt, the suspicion of a conspiracy to assassinate the President gripped the American people.

President Kennedy died at 1 p.m. Central Standard Time.” Walter Cronkite. These legendary words were the first time anyone had heard that their great president was dead. This tragic day showed America and the world the flaws of their country and how things can change in a blink of an eye.

John F. Kennedy was a well know person in the United States. He was America 's 35th President from January 20, 1961 to November 22, 1963. Sadly his life was cut short in a trip to Dallas, Texas. The gunman was later founded and arrested but never stood trial because he was later killed. FBI release that it was a lone gunman work but many people say that there was another person involved in another build.

RFK used this quote to say people may want to stay angry and bitter, but anger will eventually be replaced with wisdom and understanding no matter how much they try to fight it. Rhetorical analyst Omair Khan states that Kennedy “had an enormous level of credibility as well as the authority and experience that comes with being the president of the United States” which is true because as the president, he had a huge amount of good will and was to be believed to turn the circumstances around

On April 4, 1968, Robert F. Kennedy was in Indianapolis for a campaign stop, when he received news that Martin Luther King was killed, causing Kennedy to write and deliver a speech regarding the assassination. This speech was succinct but not only was it about the assassination, it was also to tell the people there is still wisdom and hope in this time of turmoil. To reach this purpose, he first builds up his ethos, uses pathos to add mood and hope, and unifies the people. The combination of these elements makes it a very powerful and memorable speech. Robert F. Kennedy builds his credibility by relating his personal experience and knowledge of what the audience is feeling to the current events.

John F Kennedy was a level headed, determined and well accomplished person. During his short-lived presidency, he had to take on challenges like no other and did it with sophistication and grace. From conflicts involving other countries, like Vietnam, to the Civil Rights Movement that directly affected our own country, Kennedy continued to take each problem day by day until there was an overall improvement or resolution. It would be safe to say that he is one of the more progressive presidents our country has ever seen. David Burner’s John F.
