The social change that was seen in this movie is that there is a shift of more blacks in the stands with the white people. There was definitely a transition from Jackie Robinson team mates, to the community and fans not accepting him at all to more people accepting him. Fans and team mates used to boo and say awful racial slurs to him in the beginning and it shifted to people cheering him on in the crowd because he was able to steal bases and win them through the game and his character. There were many scenes that the movie zoomed in on which was how Pee Wee put his arm around Jackie Robinson which represented unity.

Jesse Owens, an African American Athlete has accomplished various achievements in track and field. However, these accomplishments didn’t just make an impact in sports talks. Jesse Owens also contributed to the equality of African Americans with his determination and perseverance. Although it seems as if anyone could 've impacted the equality movement, Jesse Owens became the catalyst for change. This couldn 't have been achieved without Owens’ notoriety and athletic ability to defeat other competitors from other nations.
Back in the days being homosexual was something serious, something that people did not see every day happening compared to this century. It was even more serious when it came to the subject of religion. Now, people are more opened and accepting on who you are and why you are the way you are. Famous artists even promote to be proud of who you are and accept the way you are. However, this did not stop him, as his first feature film contains a gay Mexican Immigrant character.
The Cesar Chavez movie is about a Mexican born man bringing the mexican and filipino field workers together to build up the farm workers union. The main type of protest that he and his followers participated in were nonviolent boycotts. This all mainly took place in Delano, California. Working conditions were very poor for both groups and they had very poor and unfair wages. The two groups also experienced racism and brutality from their employers.

Sitting in his single breasted Hart, Schaffer and Marx suit with highly shined brown cap toes he did his best to look good on the job. Even he had to admit, the suit made him look good. If you could get them to look at your suit instead of your face, you would do alright in life and it did, the suit did fit him like a glove.

However, I do look at him as a form of healer in a more emotional aspect than physical, he discusses at great length, and with soft clarity, the importance of maintaining the faith of Muslims through life and death regardless of preference. In the film, he says that his role is to "help them find their own inner voice"(23:03). Later on, he discusses how with Allah you can speak the truth, however, gay and lesbians "swallow" their own voice and Allah is divine with the truth no matter the circumstances. So, he is a member of the community actively trying to incorporate and allow a space in which all people can feel accepted by their religion and not worry about what will happen to their prayers in the afterlife.

Yet, when witnessing with closed eyes, you have still witnessed violence with open ears and an open mind. People who were pure, strong, and brave enough to fight oppression have become worshipped idols. These people were the voice of many others ― people who were afraid to speak.
