History has shown us that the United States has been a powerhouse at the time of war in the past and present. In 1941 the U.S. entered World War 2 after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. During the war the U.S. had an agency known as the Office of Strategic Services (O.S.S) which founded in 1942 by Franklin D. Roosevelt and William J. Donovan. This agency was very secretive it would acquire the best soldiers, intel, and foreign intelligence. The O.S.S played a big part in helping us win the war. This was the start of an Intelligence program that would later be known as the Central Intelligence Agency (C.I.A.). During World War 2 the U.S. had many intelligence programs but, our president Franklyn D. Roosevelt saw that the O.S.S was good but overall

The Culper Spy Ring The Culper Spy Rings was a spy network started by George Washington to get information about the British, during the Revolutionary War. The Patriots (colonists) were fighting against the British, in this war. The Patriots hoped to gain freedom from Britain, liberty, and equality by winning the war. Since the Patriots forces were only the colonists, they didn’t have a lot of weapons or people on their side, and the people they did have were not well trained to fight.
In the long term, the United States had come out of the war as a rising power. In what seemed to be an easy victory for the British, the Americans not only survived through the war, but took steps forward in being recognized as a world influence. The use of the navy really helped pushed this movement towards a significant country among other powerful nations, forward.

The final reason the United States became the world power it is today from the Great War is by changes in war strategy and technology. During World War 1, there were so many new technology pieces including the airplane, cannons, and gas masks. Even though the United States wasn’t in the war for the entire time, they gained from all of this new technology. The United States could use that technology in future affairs with countries, and they know how to build them because they build submarines and other equipments for the Allies before they joined the war. Some more new technologies are tanks, U-boats, better rifles, and poison gas which is why people in the war needed gas masks, because poison gas could cause death or bad injuries.
The second world war is one of the most well known wars of all time. In the early 1900’s European countries began competing and with that they were also building strong army’s and navy’s. After a while, the United States got involved and were in need of the people’s support. The United Nations had not yet been established which meant conflicts were not getting resolved. This was unlike anything the U.S. had done before.
America treaded the path towards World War II with trepidation, until its people were convinced that action must be taken when the incident of Pearl Harbor occurred. From that point on, American citizens began mobilizing to aid their nation in hopes for victory against the Axis Powers. In order to keep up morale certain measures, such as the use of false advertising, were imposed. The influence of American propaganda during World War II led to an exploration of government authority through the use of censorship, exploitation of women, and incentive to contribute to the war effort.
The Gestapo The terror and fear in Nazi Germany were contributed in by many factors, although most was the fear inflicted in by the secret Nazi police the Gestapo. The Gestapo was a mighty force to be reckoned with even with their small numbers.
