The Russian Revolution
The Russian Revolution is the cooperative term for a brace of revolutions in Russia that occurred in 1917, which dismantled the Tsarist monocracy and led to the formation of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic known as the Russian SFSR. The Head of state was forced to relinquish, and the old regime was substituted by a temporary government or the “Provisional Government” during the first revolution in February 1917. In the second revolution, during October, the Temporary Government was removed and replaced with a Bolshevik Government.
The February Revolution:
The February Revolution began on March 8, 1917. It was a revolution focused around Petrograd, now called Saint Petersburg. During that time, chaos started when demonstrators hassled onto the streets protesting for a break yelling “Down with the autocracy!" Supported by industrial workers, they charged against the police attacking everything and everyone against them. Within the next two days, the strike spread along other streets and the violence increased, destroying other police stations. This caused the soldiers of Petrograd to open fire on demonstrators killing many men. Yet nothing could stop them until Tsar Nicholas II abdicated the throne in favor of his brother, Michael, who strongly refused the crown and ended the Tsarist autocracy.
The Bolshevik Revolution:
The Bolshevik Revolution took place on November 6 and 7 of 1917 after the weak Provisional Government and the
The Russo-Japanese war was a brief war that lasted for approximately one year that was stimulated from Russia’s desire to expand into Asian territory. The growth of the Russian empire specifically posed a problem for the Japanese because both Russia and Japan desired to obtain the same territory. On February 8, 1904, the rivalry between Russia and Japan over dominance in Korea and Manchuria became evident when the Japanese launched a surprise attack and siege on the Russian naval squadron at Port Arthur. The war continued with attacks on Russian territory in the Liaotung Peninsula, Mukden, Fu-hsien, Liao-yang, etc. The majority if not all of the battles were won by the Japanese military because Russia suffered from poor and corrupt military

Russian Revolution In 1922, as a result of the Russian Revolution, a new political party emerged: the USSR or the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was the world’s first communist state. Communism was a new political and economic model that was supposed to get rid of class distinction. From the beginning, communism opposed capitalism and capitalist countries like the United States. The Tsar was forced to give up his throne and a new government took over. The government was run by two political parties: The Petrograd Soviet (representing the workers and soldiers) and the Provisional Government (the traditional government without the Tsar). Over the next several months the two sides ruled Russia. One of the main factions of the Petrograd Soviet was a group called the Bolsheviks.
With no signs of the czar’s attempt to solve the complications, Russia banded together and filled the streets with strikes and riots. A revolution was peaking among the peasants. The uprising brought Nicholas ll no choice but to abdicate his throne. This was an opportunity
The Russian revolution resulted in the overthrow of the country’s monarchy and the establishment of the Soviet Union. It started off with many protests and strikes that forced Tsar Nicholas II out of power. As a result, a provisional government was put in place but it was weak and ineffective so the Bolsheviks took control and established a socialist government. The Bolshevik Revolution was caused by a combination of unstable and corrupt monarchies, unfair treatment of the populace, and a lagging industry, which eventually led to the creation of the USSR.
However, the question of whether he was a hero who toppled an oppressive tyranny, or a villain who replaced it with another remains a controversial one today. In 1917, Lenin helped overthrow the Russian tsar Nicholas II, and founded the Soviet Union. On October 1917, after the victory of the Russian Revolution, Lenin did not have a clear image on socialism, or how it meant to be built. He was, however, able to state the three principal characteristics of socialism, which were the public ownership of the means of production, an end to exploitation, and the dictatorship of the proletariat. He did not take action on these points, and did not devote much attention to socialism as he felt it was not yet an immediate issue.
