Based on a true events, All the President’s Men is a 1976 American political thriller. The film is based on the non-fiction book, which has the same title, by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward. Directed by Alan J. Pakula, this film has been noted to be one of the most outstanding political thrillers of the 1970s.

Lengell uses many creative words and phrases. He also structures his paragraphs in very easy to read and understandable formats.

Presidential Courage, written by Michael Beschloss, takes the reader through a series of events over 200 years involving 9 different presidents and how America grew to highly respect them. Out of the 9, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Harry Truman were the top 3 most revered Presidents. Beschloss uncovers the troubles each and every single one of the president’s moment of crisis and how they all overcame these problems while risking the stability of the country. George Washington had faced his biggest challenge in the political field and surprisingly not the battlefield in 1795 when he attempted to turn away from a new war against Great Britain that he knew the United States could not succeed.

Throughout American history, there have been numerous shifts and changes in politics and in the government. From the time George Washington was sworn into office in 1789 to Andrew Johnson’s assumption of presidency in 1808, one of the most prominent changes is the transformation of the presidential power and interpretation of the Constitution. As time goes on, the influence of the president gradually expands and evolves from a tightly constrained role into a significantly powerful position. The authority of the president grows along with the expansion of the nation's prosperity and prestige in the world. During the Revolutionary War in the late 18th century, the Founding Fathers created America and established a new system of governing.

We want a down-to-earth and caring president, but also one that is ruthless or cunning when it is required. This paradox captures the situational leadership we expect, with a leader who can flex his or her style and skill when the situation changes. We admire presidents who are above politics, but it is a paradox that being president means that the person in the office is highly political. It is clear that the president is concerned about maintaining his office and helping his party, but we hope he puts the country ahead of politics.

It Only Takes One Second What bigger dream could a child possess than to pursue a career as president? He was also later concerned about the health and well-being of the man who was sent into compromise after he was shot. Bartlett wanted to not only make sure he tried to save as many lives as he could, he was also concerned about the well being of the man he sent in, without even knowing him personally.

The greatest president that has ever served the United States is George Washington. He was not only the first president of the United States but also the commander in chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He was victorious over the British and quickly became a hero doing so. He helped draft the constitution and with his leadership and courage. As first president, he become a role model for every other present succeeding him and helped create our countries values that we cherish so much today.

I have come to realize that the media has always sided what was popular to the public. Though in some cases I’m sure there have been some influencing through monetary means and under the table deals. Nonetheless the media actually served as a counter argument to my thoughts and actually helped me remembered in why I vote for what I vote for.
