Dear Diary,
Lately, I’ve been experiencing this strong feeling of travelling around the world. I am constantly having dreams related to airplanes and beautiful places. I even had a dream that I was on my way to Haiti to open an orphanage. I then thought that these precognitive dreams I was having shouldn’t be ignored. I am only 15 but yet I dream big wanting to fulfil my aspirations and to help the world become better and to bring a smile on the face of all the people out there especially the innocents.
Dear Diary,
I felt the urge to share whatever I have been experiencing lately with someone. I told everything to my grandfather. He understood my emotions and my desire to fulfil my dream. It is only then that he told me “I will lead you to

I felt my future brightening and I started living with hopes. The alchemist sayings on achieving one’s dream stayed in my head fresh. “(…) when we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better, too” (pg. 150).
Dear Diary,
I spent the past few days lying in bed and thinking about my pursuit towards my dream. I thought that it wouldn’t be possible. My fear of fulfilling my dream became more and more intense and I was stuck in a world trying to figure out how to get rid of all these obstacles. I turned to God trying to look for answers. It is only then that I’ve began to find conclusions to all my challenges. I thought that if I have God’s blessings, I will surely go through my Personal Legend without fearing anything.
Dear Diary,
I’ve learned that to be able to go through the biggest phase of my life, it is important that I put my academic goals in priority. I will have to improve my skills on different knowledge to be able to help others and to make sacrifices. I thought I should never let go of my books. Opening an orphanage acquires lots of experience and travelling demands lots of money. I should eventually not miss any learning opportunities to reach where I want to
Initially, the purpose of this quote is to show that when a person realizes something they long for, their soul awakes from past or current events in the universe. The Alchemist showed a very wide range of point of views about life, and for that reason I recommend this book 100% as a guide for the soul and pursuing ones dreams rather than a book for a
Being Your Better Self Becoming better benefits a bunch of beings. When you become better, you may not know it, but people around you benefit from you trying to improve. This happens to the main protagonist, Santiago because he strives to become better and everyone and everything’s lives around him improve as well. In the novel, The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, Santiago learns, “When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better, too.” To begin, King Melchizedek tries to become better, and in return Santiago becomes better.
I finally accepted the fact that we were moving by the action in itself and I did not fall apart. Upon accepting this move, God gave me the strength I needed to make it through this transition in my life. There was no doubt it would take a long time for me to fully recover, but now I knew I would have the strength to make this
On 11/7/16 I truly knew that God had a plan for me. Part of his plan was for me to move to Columbus so I could find Him. I remember we were in the middle of a song, and I just started to ball my eyes out. I had felt this warmth take over me. For the first time in my life, I felt as if I was connected to something bigger than myself.
Because of the alchemist telling him this, he knows his Personal Legend and continues to work for it. Out of the many challenges people face in life, some still just give up instead of persevering. The Alchemist, however, shows that people should never give up, but instead fight through bad situations to complete their goals. Others may think we are just suffering when we persevere, but “no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second’s encounter with God and with eternity” (Coelho 134).
However, I challenge you to avoid resting on your laurels and instead to keep striving to achieve even loftier goals. Right now, you have no idea, you can’t even begin to imagine, what you are ultimately capable of accomplishing. Dream big, imagine, challenge, push boundaries, never settle, never give up. Dream big.
Some dreams were not accomplished due to many reasons. “All dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” This book is all about one’s personal determination and perseverance to create new and
Faith in God didn’t mean much to me. God, however, is gracious, even when we are not. He waited for me to come to the end of myself. Then he got my attention.
All individuals have the power to define their own fate if they pursue their dreams, persevere, and have self-confidence. In The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, the protagonist, Santiago, is a humble shepherd boy. His parents urged him to study to enter priesthood but he had always longed to travel (10). He makes the decision to stop studying in seminary and instead becomes a shepherd.
As Douglas Everett once said,"There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other. " What this essentially means is that there are people who live in dreams, the other’s live in mind and there are some who believe that true meaning of living exists in following their dreams so they try to make their dreams reality. I agree with this quote because some people just dream about things and leave it; while, others don’t believe in dreams at all. Then there are some people who actually try to convert their dreams into reality because they think that dreams are for a reason. This quote is best designed for Paulo Coelho book titled “The Alchemist” as Santiago constantly works to convert his dream into reality
I was at a point in my life where I was okay with life, but I was missing something. There was a part of life that I desired to have, but I did not know how to get it. I was trying different churches and I thought I might have found the one. I was ignoring the one which I knew was the one for me, kind of like when Pictor turned away from the tree before he could see the transformation, I turned away from the church before I would allow it to transform me.
I was speechless with great happiness, and I jumped for joy; at the age of nine I was amazed to know that my dream had come into existence. So yes, God does work in mysterious ways, that no one can explain. The next day came, and I had to travel to the capital state of my country to obtain my passport and documents which I would need to travel. Weeks and days went by and my excitement lessened as I began to realize how much I would miss home, members of my family, most especially my lovely grandma because of the bond we shared. I knew I would miss them deeply, so I began to cherish the days I had left to spend with them before my trip.
What are the goals and dreams that you want to accomplish in life? Are you willing to suffer for them, or do you expect to achieve them with ease? The statement “Suffering is an important part of attaining your dreams or goals” is a very well founded statement. The novel, The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, Focuses on the theme of following your dreams and personal legend.
I knew I love children, helping those in need, and giving advice to friends and families. I was always that student who helped people but didn’t help myself. I always knew what was needed to be done and the outcome of it. I didn’t used my help to others to my own advantage. These mistakes make me who I am and despite little hope I had left, made me into a happier, and more responsible
There are always complications and doubts that block our path. What job am I to choose? What university do I apply for? These thoughts will soon turn into a bitter reality. A reality that we will have to face.
