The type of model of nursing care delivery used on my unit is a team nursing model. I am currently working on a 50-bed orthopedic unit in a level one trauma center. The unit is divided into 2 areas. One of the sides is for trauma patients and the other one is for elective surgical patients. One nurse assumes the charge nurse duties, including making staff assignments, managing call-outs, communicating with the patient care coordinator, and supervises problems and concerns for both areas of the unit. There are also multiple nurses on the unit, and each nurse is assigned about 5 or 6 patients for each shift. In team nursing, the medications are given by one nurse while baths, vital signs, and lab works are provided by a nursing assistant (NA).
Bellow these individuals are individual departments and nursing units who each have their own director or

Nursing Organization: This exercise I found interesting and educational. Enjoyed reading the many organizations out there and that they are for nurses to have instant access to education, leadership and advocacy programs, publications about what you want to know, and your interest, along with access to scholarships and grants. With this day of social media they are also an online community that is there when you need them. I think its great that as nurses we can come together and help each other out, we are a community that can get things done, and make changes not only within our practice but also within our

This can be challenging at times due to the power distribution with team members. Hamilton (2009) developed the see saw model which help with power balance. Initial Discussion Post: •How will the RN update the plan of care? The RN would first review the goals and outcomes of the patient care plan. The next step would be to collect Reassessment Data, " Assess the client response to the interventions. "(pg.

Method of Obtaining Necessary Approvals There are various categories of criteria required for a successful implementation of healthcare practice that are evidence-based oriented. The appropriate method for implementing a plan that will help to create a healthy community is through a community engagement and planning program.
