TJX Canada faces difficulty in creating its brand image, as it doesn’t constitute of one particular brand/type of product, instead it brings various designers together on one platform. Additionally, in order to compete in the retail marketplace, businesses must expand to reach the widest audience possible., there’s a lot of room for expansion for TJX but it still quite lacks capturing the market because this expansion may require additional resources on the retail side of the operations, as well as additional expenditures. The manufacturing side also must be considered with regard to increased output requirements to keep pace with the retail expansion. We cannot ignore the fact that for this type of business, the company has to abide by the vendors’ terms and contract agreements. They have to be very careful while advertising and marketing their products which may restrict their promotional activities. Recovery: In a retail TJX store, it is a part of your job to recover items from the store overall, especially the fitting rooms and front service desk and put them back in their appropriate places so they are available to be shopped at all times. Merchandise may be put in the wrong area, or customers may leave debris on the floor. Correcting these issues is a part of the recovery process. T.J. Maxx could do different promotions in drawing in additional employees. These promotions could be in the local newspaper, T.J. Maxx website, or through flyers. I feel like the more potential employees that see T.J. Maxx is hiring the better the store will find more employees. The disadvantage of T.J. Maxx hiring more employees would be the budget. T.J. Maxx would have to hire at least two additional workers per day to fulfill the extra register.
