The Outsiders is a book by S.E. Hinton. A group of people called the Greasers are the main characters. There names are Dally, Sodapop, Ponyboy, Darry, Steve, Two-Bit, and Johnny. In the book they all have rough lives, some don’t even have parents. Ponyboy and Johnny get it trouble in the middle of the book and they have to go away to a church were later is the cause of Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dallas’s injuries. There were 7 main characters in the book. They were described very thorough in the book. In the book it said that Sodapop had Blondish, gold hair, but in the movie he didn’t have blonde hair. In the movie Dallys hair was dark brown but in the book it said that it was almost white. In the book they said that Two-Bit was supposed to be tall but in the movie he was shorter than everybody else. I think that they weren’t accurate because they couldn’t find anyone who played the part better. I also thought that they would all be a little tougher looking that what they were. Except for Johnny and Ponyboy I thought that they were pretty accurate with what they're toughness looked like. They also never introduced Sandy. I think that they did that because it wasn’t that …show more content…
In the movie it didn’t show them eating or drinking anything but in the book it explained all of it. ALso they were in the car in both the movie and the book. When they headed back they found that the church was on fire. There were a lot of things that were the same in the movie and book. How Johnny and Pony both went into the church. Also when they were lifting the little kids out, a little girl bit Ponyboy. When Pony ran out of the church the jacket was on fire just like the book and Johnny got struck by a post that fell off of the ceiling. Dally had to run into the church and grab Johnny. I thought that the movie did a good job of showing the
“It’s not what you have it’s what you don’t have that counts(Raskin page 43)”. The Westing Game novel and movie by Ellen Raskin are very different, but also very similar in their unique ways. The Westing Game contains many clues and assumptions that are worth very little. The Mystery genre make both materials interesting and attention grabbing but many books are not like The Westing Game.
There are many similar parts and in the movie. For instance, Billy's grandpa fell in both the movie and book. There are a lot of similar and different parts in both the book and the
Is your America the same as my America? The book titled Our America was published by LeAlan Jones, Lloyd Newman and David Isay in 1997. There is also a movie called Our America Which was made by Ernest Dickerson in 2002. Both the book and the movie is about the same thing, it’s about how people on the west side of Chicago live. The book and the movie version of Our America have many differences such as David Isay is a very important person in the movie but he isn't in the book, Lloyd and LeAlan fusses a lot, and in the movie they talk about how they got bad publicity for being two black boys being punked by a white man but they don't even talk about that in the book.
one similarity of the movie and book was pony still gets beat up. Another is I still felt the same for both I felt sad for PB. One difference was you can hear music and sound effects in the movie and not in the book. You can really feel for PB and the greasers, and can really get a picture on what is going on in the movie. The movie was more effective during this scene because it really shows and gives a picture of how the soc’s do what they did better than a

Hoot Compare and Contrast Essay While Roy was chasing Mullet Fingers in the movie and the book Roy gets hit by a golf ball once. In the book and the movie, Roy, Beatrice, Mullet Fingers, Officer Delinko, Curly, Kimberly Lou Dixon, Chuck E. Muckle, and Dana Matherson are still the same characters. Dana Matherson is still bullying Roy. Roy punched Dana in the nose in the book and the movie.
Another difference is that in the movie they go into town, but in the book it 's never mentioned. Something else that was different was that in the book the mood was happy most of the time, while in the movie the mood was sad. A difference between the book and the movie is that in the book momma was going to burn Byron, but in the movie she does not burn him. A big difference is that in the
The book, The Outsiders, by S.E Hinton is about brother hood and friendship. Is also about two gangs called the Greasers and the Soc's constantly arguing and fighting. Constantly fighting about their gangs placement in their cities, girls, and where they can and can't go. In the first chapter, fighting comes up right away. A book and a movie can be both the same and different. In The Outsiders there are many similarities and differences with the book and movie. They were the same because Johnny kills a man, they cut their, there was the movie scene, and Johnny and Ponyboy went to the church. Some of the differences is when Darry slaps Ponyboy but in the movie he pushes him, Johnny doesn't bring a lot of food in the book but does in the movie he does, when Johnny killed the man it was more described but it wasn't in the movie, and Johnny says he wants to kill himself in the movie. In The Outsiders one of the themes is “friendship”
There were a lot of things that were the same in the book and movie Freak the Mighty. There also was some difference. Some of the difference weren 't really a big difference, so some people may not have noticed them. Some of the other differences were big differences so most people probably noticed them if they paid attention to both. Some difference I recognized were that in the book when Max and Kevin were getting the purse out of the sewer they hooked it to a paper clip and string to pull it out, in the movie Max went in the well to get the purse.
In the book they also talk about sodas girlfriend sandy while in the movie they do not talk about her. In the book it tells of their walk to the

He then stabs another transfer in the eye to keep his place in the ranks. In the film he has a humorous tone making him seem like he is not the villain in the story. Another character who has a different description than the movie is Eric.
There are many simularities and differences in the book and movie " The
The names of all the characters were spot on except for one named Peeves. He was not mentioned in the movie. The similarity in the age of the characters are close for the most part. They are very close to how they are described looking in the book as well as in the movie.
Cancer. It kills people, starts adventures, and can make or break essential relationships. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, a book that captures all of that, relates to the movie Kiss and Cry directed by Sean Cisterna, in everything related to cancer and so much more. These works involve similarities in characters, plot, and the theme throughout. However, they also have many differences such as with support systems and their mindsets while conquering the deadly disease.
