Twenty years from now I want to be known for having made a difference in my community, in Sylmar. I want to provide students with more resources, so that those with my similar background can have an opportunity to attend university. I want students to be prepared for university and to know that they are capable of being successful in fields like medicine. I want to be that remodel that lets them know that if I could achieve my dreams of becoming a doctor, so could they. I want my story to be known that I struggled in believing in myself, but due to that experience I was motivated to become a guide for students who also lack confidence in what they can achieve.
I want the press conference to be about how I have contributed to the success of many students from my community. I would state how students that I helped felt they had no direction, but were successful once they were given an opportunity. In the press conference, I would express the pride I felt for those students that I mentored and I would also explain what my motive was. In high school as a Hispanic I would say (in the press conference), I felt inadequate when I would express my aspirations to be a

I would then explain what motivated me: I wanted to be that person who debunks others disbeliefs that a Hispanic from Sylmar could be a doctor.
In the press conference, I would proudly state that I believed in high scholars silly aspirations and that they were successful and proved everyone who doubted them wrong.
In addition I would tell the press that I set up a scholarship for Latinos that were going into the medicine field. I would also speak of summer programs that would help students feel comfortable in subjects like calculus, biology and other science courses that would help them be successful in university. I would speak of how I wanted to provide the students with opportunities that I didn’t have like to shadowing a
You have goals set of all of us to become something important. To make a change to the world.
In the future, I want to make sure regardless of what career path I take, to focus on educating others, or helping educational opportunities be accessible. An example of this providing more affordable, accessible non-profit chess events that provide a ground for competition and improvement. Just as the introduction of sports such as basketball, these provide other forms of excellence that can bring communities out of poverty. The greatest tool to fight mishaps in the world, is to make knowledge accessible to everyone, just as Miss Moore taught the kids on 5th avenue that one
1. My significant contribution that I have made to Mount St. Ursula cannot be seen or touched, but, felt in the hearts of my wonderful teachers and classmates. My strong positivity has filled the environment of my school. I’ve often been told that I make optimistic impacts on many people’s lives. My amazing personality makes me a unique individual in my school amongst the cluster of young ladies.
Moreover, I have attempted to live my life in the same manner. At an early age, I learned the importance of academic excellence, integrity, leadership, and community service. My goals here at Alcorn include a BS in Elementary Education. I believe that this will help me give back to my community, improve my school district and become a better, well-rounded
The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
My enthusiasm and disposal to learn will help me make my contribution to the team worth it. From the experience I hope to gain more knowledge, memories, good experience and why not... friends. My goal in order to contribute to the Conference outreach and growth of the Líderes Network is to introduce the program in my community and campus. This way more people will know the program and young people can benefit from it. I recognize the importance of a range to more Latino communities.
Many Latino-Americans, including myself, aspire to surpass poverty and discrimination. Through my success, I will undoubtedly change the world, help those in need, and utilize the knowledge I will acquire through my degree to assist those who lack the opportunity to seek a promising
I learned how to adapt to the individual needs of students to provide them the best education. Like students with a communication disorder, many of my students would shy away from activities or tasks because of obstacles. Through these experiences, I watched my students gain the confidence to participate in activities and excel in academics to become successful individuals. As a future Speech Language Pathologist, many qualities that I possess can be improved by furthering my education.
My education provides the foundation for my future. In order to ensure my success, I must also continue to engage in service projects. My involvement in community service with National Honor Society has kindled
I hope to bring diversity to all who walk on the campus. My background has shaped me into the intelligent African American woman I am today. Without growing up in the “hood”, I may have not been able to find the best career that interested me. I also would not have been able over all the challenges thrown at me. Instead I remained determined and motivated so that I was able to achieve all of the goals set before me.
Dear Rossier School of Education Faculty, Throughout my education I was not expected to succeed, english being my second language and attending low socioeconomic schools in the city of Santa Ana I was deemed to dropout of school like the majority of children before me. I rarely remember having a student-teacher relationship with an educator throughout my education, and as I succeeded academically my teachers were surprised but nothing more than surprised. Then there were the teachers that made all the difference, teachers that went above and beyond and left an everlasting impact on how I view education, and essentially what made achieving a higher education possible. With the guidance of teachers, instructors and school faculty I was admitted to the University of California Irvine which was not only an accomplishment and a dream of mine but an accomplishment for my family. My journey through education is still the reality of many children attending low socioeconomic schools and/or public schools today, Just like the amazing mentors I had throughout my education, I want to make a difference alongside of them by creating positive and supporting
My long and short term goals had shaped my aspirations and who I am as a person today. My experiences are unforgettable and I will surely take all the observations and knowledge I had gained to create a happy and successful life for myself and
I can vividly remember the advice given to me by my high school counselor. I was broken down, whispering to myself that I was not college bound. It was my counselor who made me realize that persistence was a key factor to continuing my education. The wisdom that was shared to me that day was instilled into my mind and was endorsed in my heart. I want to be the person that gives a glimpse of hope to students that need an extra push through education, just like it was given to me.
I have overcome difficult challenges in my pursuit of education. I fell behind on my credits, which was the hardest situation to pull myself up from. I caught up and past my colleagues. I am more than ready to further expand my education beyond graduating high school. I am striving to make myself rise above the rest.
