The sugar act in 1764 made British laws charge on the sugar by the other products that were charge.1751-1764 the stamp and quartering act was in 1765, stamp act was required certain printed materials and the quartering act was forced to feed and shelter the British Soldiers. When the British started taxing them and throwing their tea away the Americans got tired of the British controlling them so they fought back. As if an enemy’s country is a book written by Richard Archer which is a history of those key months between October 1, 1768 and the winter of 1770 when Boston became a occupied town. This book examines the Sugar Act, a piece of legislation presented by the Prime Minister George Grenville and passed by the Parliament of Great Britain on April 5, 1764 as well as its impact on Boston. Anyway, Stamp Act was working negatively to us as Sugar Act was (117). As you know I am a part of patriots community. The French had been expanding into the Ohio Valley creating conflict amongst the countries. With the signing of the treaty France lost a lot of land.

Colonial America and Great Britain had a rocky relationship. Some colonists liked the British authority over America. Many disliked the way the crown treated the colonies. Many colonists boycotted British products to protest against Great Britain’s rule. The many acts Britain put on to the colonists justified the boycotting of British products.

Separately, these acts did not cause the American revolution but together the acts created tension between the American colonists and England. The Stamp act started to build the tension between the colonists and England because it was the first tax directly imposed onto the colonists. They saw this as unfair because during the French and Indian war the colonist were ignored and then suddenly they were expected to pay off Britain’s war debt. The Stamp Act led to the Declaratory Act which led to many other laws given by King George the III and Parliament because of the backlash received from the colonists. The Boston tea party was an effect of the Tea Act enacted on the American colonists.

Duties were raised and enforced on sugar, a lucrative industry prior to the enacting of this policy. The Sugar Act also took control over the collection of taxes and duties, as well as court cases conducted regarding such matters, from the colonial courts who were very lenient to offenders and rarely held them accountable. The Currency Act of 1764 demanded that colonies cease issuing their own paper currency, and to remove any previously issued currency from circulation.

In result, economic changes would come to the colonies. Parliament met in 1763 and came to the conclusion that they were not receiving the profit they needed from the colonies (Document F). As a result, many taxes were passed by British Parliament upon the colonies, including the Sugar Act, the Stamp Act (Document H) and the Tea Act. The American colonies were not happy, to say the least. Americans protested, saying that these taxes were unnecessary and unfair.
