Star Wars is a great franchise and like all great franchises they have good movies, bad movies, and sometimes mediocre movies. But, I won’t be talking about the last two today. No, today I’m talking about the Empire Strikes Back undoubtedly the best Star Wars movie to ever grace our Earth. This movie had gotten the highest rating from all critics and fans who have watched the movie shown by the 95% rating from critics on rotten tomatoes and 97% from audiences. Although my trust in rotten tomatoes varies with “The Last Jedi” being praised for it’s terribleness. I digress though. For the time when this movie came out the effects, sound, and story was astounding. All movie series need a movie where the hero is at a low point and this is that movie …show more content…
Plot twist can be a terrible thing when you use them too much, but in this movie they use them just perfectly that so the audience won't know exactly what to expect. Another focal point of the movie was the introduction of Boba Fet the long lost son of Jengo Fet, which gets tied in later with some lackluster prequels. But, he’s a perfect example of characters that just work. This shows that even the Empire sometimes needs to recruit people to fight for them. Showing that they’re not actually an unstoppable juggernaut, which can just pump out an infinite source of fighters, but one that needs to outsource themselves to the mercy of large scale criminals to fight for them. This makes the movie feel more real since this was a common tactic up until the advent of standing armies in nations. Now off the topic of the Empire let’s go to the rebellion. This is the perfect moment in the story for them because they’re at their lowest point. Their fleet is in smithereens, they have lost the support of their own people, and not but not least there’s nothing they can do to fight off the
Star Wars has a worldwide appeal that is here to stay for many generations to come, but how has it done this? While director George Lucas has received mixed reactions for his approach towards the prequels, this does not undermine the fact that George
Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan offer them a new deal and Han Soto wanted the money up front first. Once the deal got done between both parties you learn why Han Soto wanted so much money. He had a debt with someone and was trying to avoid paying it until Greedo (the debt collector) came. Another thing I notice was the killing of Greedo. A lot of People witness the killing and everyone pretty much ignored it or don 't want to be involved in that solution.

Title His 10 year old mind could not wait for tomorrow night. Young Matt had just learned the night before that TNT would be playing a marathon of the Star Wars prequels, 3 of his most enjoyed and favorite movies ever. Matt loved all of the Star Wars movies for George Lucas’s amazing storytelling and the obvious reason, the great visual effects in the movies. When Matt heard the news that tomorrow night TNT would be playing the prequels he told his entire family and they decided that they should have a family movie night.
“Once upon a time there was a lovely princess, but she had an enchantment over her of a fearful sort, which could only be broken by love’s first kiss” (Shrek). Shrek, starring the famous Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz, brought big money to the box office and followed with three sequels. A musical was then adapted and performed on Broadway from 2008 to 2013. Both the film and musical similarly opened with a story, but this time it was in music form and told of how Shrek got on his bog, compared to the princess getting in the tower. Shrek the Musical is for the whole family, including jokes for adults that are covered up enough that kids will not question.

I woke up in the middle of the night to a loud sound coming from downstairs. I got out of bed to get my lifesaver underneath my star wars collection. I walked over to my door with a poster of Darth Vader. I opened up the door slowly and walked out into a fighting position, ready for anyone to fight me. I yelled downstairs in a very intimidating voice “I have a life saver and I'm not afraid to use it”.
The Power of the Force can withstand bear attacks – and Leonardo DiCaprio, as Star Wars retains its crown atop the box office. For a fourth consecutive term, Star Wars – The Force Awakens retained vigilant in the face of uncertainty – earning $41.6 million, and defeating newcomer, The Revenant, in the process. Star Wars managed to rise from the ashes on Saturday and Sunday after receiving its first defeat on Friday at the hands of The Revenant – causing many to predict a potential upset by the weekend’s end. Instead, the talk of Star Wars dominance will continue for at least another week – as the billion dollar powerhouse continues to inch closer to the potentially unachievable reign of Avatar. Currently sitting at $1.7 billion, The Force Awakens is officially the third highest-grossing film of all-time (worldwide) – having just surpassed Jurassic World ($1.6 billion).
For the most part, Luke simply stared at his umbrella, lost to the resounding words this young man had said to him. Of course, he didn’t pity the child. Past experiences, as well as his own childhood, rendered him upwards of incapable. Instead, he harbored a substantial amount of empathy. It was true that Luke hung his heart on his sleeve and inadvertently found every way he could to relate to a person or situation at hand.
Throughout my years of watching movies there were plenty that grasped my attention and really left an impact on me when I younger. One of the first movies that I watched was the Star Wars trilogy. The first time I watched this movie I thought how cool the lightsabers were and how angry I was at Darth Vader at the time for killing Obi Wan Kenobi. After watching the original trilogy of The New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi I was super excited to find out that there were more Star Wars movies for me to enjoy. Then, I actually watched them to find out that the three other movies in the series were boring and focused more on the politics of Star Wars instead of all of the stuff that made Star Wars interesting to watch.
In film, events are the core at which the plot line revolves around and are the basis on which the audience can learn important themes and ideas. In Robert Zemeckis’ 1994 Academy Award winning film, Forrest Gump, the Storm scene (when Lt. Dan challenges God) is essential. This heartfelt, action-packed event positively impacts one of the main characters in the film, Lt.Dan; he is finally able to forgive and start anew. Upon closer inspection of visual and verbal techniques used by Zemeckis, we can understand why this event positively impacted Lt.Dan. Prior to the storm scene (when Lt.Dan challenges God), Lt. Dan was a very depressed and angry man who only thought of himself as a “legless freak”.
It all depends on the person who is being exposed to the movie and how their perspective is, so it all comes back to personal opinion. There are tons of key factors that have made Disney movies stand out the most during my lifetime. All great animated Disney movies have similar qualities. Great Disney
Randy Black English IV: Film Analysis Mr. Maxfield 10/23/2015 The wondrous world of Forrest Gump “Forrest Gump,” the movie and the character, captured the hearts of millions when it was released in 1994. Its story of an outcast basically having the Midas touch was an encouraging piece that still inspires people today. Much of the story is far-fetched, but it helps people believe anything is possible.
