The one movie that had the greatest impact on me takes place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Because of its quintessential score and recognizable characters, Star Wars started a revolution in the cinema. I understand that it affected so many people and their lives, but it also affected my life on the inside and the outside.
My first viewing of Star Wars wasn’t actually the first one movie, but the sequel. I walked in on my cousins watching it on a petite TV at my grandmother’s house. They were in the midst of the movie, so I watched the remainder of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. During the climax, you learn that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker’s father. This revelation changed everything for me and I scantily knew the characters. I didn’t know who Han Solo was or why he was getting frozen in Carbonite, but I wanted to know what happens after he gets taken by the mystifying bounty hunter. I was enamored from the middle, not the beginning. I realized that I needed to watch the headmost film before I was able to watch the final picture, so I did.

In the film Luke Skywalker is a lonesome youth on Tatooine that dreams of doing something bigger. During the course of the tale he is thrown into a war and helps the rebels destroy the empire’s new superweapon. It’s a narrative that is now known world-wide, but when I saw it, I thought that I could be like Luke Skywalker. I don’t have a lightsaber and I can’t use the force, but I may be able to change the world in a positive

Star Wars is an epic space opera film series created by George Lucas, which includes galactic battles, theatrical adventure, as well as chivalric romance. The music, mainly composed by John Williams, gives depth to the storyline and is something that fans of all ages will always remember. The specific Star Wars movie that I have chosen to analyze is Star Wars, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, which was released on May 25, 1983.
For instance, Luke fought against the Empire and destroyed the Death Star. He also seeks to stop injustice. He follows the code in the movie when he joined the Rebels and fought against the Empire. In fact, the Empire was committing many cruel acts. Secondly, Luke portrays himself as a hero with a good moral character.
The five imperial wars greatly impacted everyone who participated. Moreover, the French and Indian War caused the thirteen colonies to become closer politically and culturally. In fact, it brought English colonists together as Americans for the first time and allowed them to realize the true intentions of the British Empire. English American settlement was a melting pot of “self-reliant individual landholders, fiercely independent in pursuit of their own interest” (American Yawp, chp.4). They had previously developed their own political institutions, each colony creating their own assembly in which carried out the same duties that Britain exercised such as taxation, managing revenue, and granting salaries to royal officials.
The movie did have some parts that I thought were better
It was like a movie in my head not knowing whats going to happen. It was breath taking with the climax of events that were
During this Darth Vader sacrifices himself just so Luke can live on. One final example is that throughout his life he had visions of his family; made him have even more sympathy for his

In Hollywood, it’s rare, very rare for a name to be associated with as many great projects as John Williams is. Aside from producer Jerry Bruckheimer, I can think of no one but Williams to sit on that throne, and rightfully so. The films he composed for are now either cult classics, regarded as genre-starters or artistic masterpieces. It is virtually impossible to list all of Williams’ scores, specially when most, if not all, are considered works of art that deserves full on explanation of their whys and hows. Having said that, some of his work reached and surpassed your good ol’ epicness level to reach a whole new level. Of those works, the most notoriously known is Star Wars.
The hero’s journey describes the pattern of a story that is seen in myths, drama, fantasy and others. It includes specific archetypes that create that pattern . Without the majority of these archetypes, the story could not be defined as thus. Star Wars: A New Hope is a classic example of the hero’s journey.
A Response to Star Wars: The Force that bind us When a fictional film resonates with its audience the ways Star Wars did, it suddenly becomes real. How come such fantasy “a long time ago, in galaxy far, far away” can tell humanity’s deepest truths? I believe the answer relies on the idea of the Force, the thought that all live forms are somehow connected since the beginning of time. It is, a reflection on how our societies mutual beliefs provoked both technological advancements and degenerating wars.
With controversial subject matter, spectacular acting, and a timeless and relevant plot, audiences truly will get hooked to this film and not want to remove their eyes from the screen. People will either be touched by the ending or they will be left hanging, all depending on perspective, but either way it is something that will affect them and leave them thinking. Maybe the audience will even wonder what their personal “rosebud” is and what it means to
A film that has personally changed my view of the American dream from the “common” view is the movie American Beauty. American Beauty contradicts the myth of Americans that strive in life and charge through their obstacles to try to be successful. The American dream is shown in a harsher but realistic view in American Beauty as Americans are shown as living a boring and repetitive life as they are held back in the society they live in. good discussion of theme – but can you add a sentence discussing the “how” of the film? Will you be examining character, etc.?
George Lucas' Star Wars has been an "unprecedented commercial success in the history of cinema and has made a huge cultural impact" (Feichtinger 28). It is a popular franchise and is widely known all over the world. Star Wars plays a major role in influencing the youth and sending a message to everyone, especially the fans. George Lucas said that he wanted to do more than entertain the masses; he wanted to "introduce young Americans to spiritual teachings through 'new myths' for our globalized, pluralistic millennium" (Burke). These spiritual teachings and motifs are seen throughout the Star Wars movies and they "promote values and worldviews", which are adopted from Buddhism (Feichtinger 34).
