Our magnificent star, the Sun is the source of the life on our planet and all the events and changes on the Sun will affect the Earth. Here comes the importance of space weather studies, which concerns the study of the Sun and all its phenomena. The study of space climate includes both long-term average behavior and variations in the long-term averages, while space weather is concerning the short-term variation in the solar activity.

Also, since the Sun is a gaseous body, there are no fixed points of reference on the Sun. Moreover, different parts of the Sun rotate at different rates. The rotation rate depends not only on latitude, but also on how deeply the magnetic field lines of a given feature are anchored in the photosphere. Thus, for example, active regions follow different differential rotation laws than smaller-scale magnetic features at the same latitudes (Thompson, 2006).
Many previous studies tried to investigate the location behavior of the solar flares. Papagiannis (1972) studied the solar flare events accompanied by type IV radio burst during the period 1956-1969 and he found that most of the solar flare events are located between latitude range 10°-20° and Gnevyshev (1967) who studied solar flares during 19 and 20 solar cycles. Pendey et al. (2015) had studied statistically x-ray solar flares and their classes (C, M and X classes) during 1976-2008, they found that the solar flares are accumulating in latitude belts or populations in the northern and southern hemispheres, they found that the mightiest is the 11°-20° latitude belt. The Omaha Storm Chasers are a Minor League Baseball team founded just outside of Omaha, Nebraska in the city of Papillion. Due to the Storm Chasers being located in a high population, such as Omaha, the team can interest a larger community of fans that most Minor League teams can’t do. This outstanding Minor League team is affiliated as the Triple-A organization for none other than the defending World Series champions the Kansas City Royals, and has been affiliated with the Royals since 1969, giving the fans of the Royals a team to cheer for in Nebraska. The Storm Chasers play their games at the beautiful Werner Park, a place that provides wholesome entertainment and quality baseball games for the thousands of fans watching. This ballpark can hold up to 9,000 thrilled fans, also this unique park has a grass berm seating section in the outfield area, making the experience a little different than a regular ball game.

For those Buffalonians who are old enough to remember it, the Blizzard of 1977 is a memory that has been seared into their consciousness. January 28th 1977, began as a normal day for the city of Buffalo, but by twelve noon the wind picked up, snow began to fall, and visibility became dangerously limited. As the wind began to intensify out of the west and sweep across the frozen wasteland of Lake Erie, it carried with it the lightly packed snow that had blanketed the frozen lake. An event of historical proportions was beginning to unfold in rapid time right in front of people’s eyes. Accumulating more and more snow as the wind moved eastward, the wind was carrying so much snow that it created white out conditions in the city and surrounding area.

I believe arts are meant to aid in understanding our past, describe the present and predict the future. “The Weather Project” by Olafur Eliasson managed to create an interesting presentation of the weather. The exposition seems to initiate an impressive tension between the city and nature. The room is encircled in natural elements sun, mist, light and by introducing these natural elements Ellison seems to persuade viewers to entirely appear themselve in the space and the exhibition.

The Hawaiian Islands are an incredible place to visit and explore. I have visited there twice now, and the sights are amazing. This assignment came up right after I got back from my last trip, and one thing that had my interest while I was there was the islands’ formations. Flying in the first time, I enjoyed being able to see the islands come into view after being over water for 6 hours. Doing snorkeling adventures, I visited Molokini Crater.
