At the outset, students should not be paid, because students who receive money show lower academic performances than those that do not. As stated in the article “Parents paying their children money
I think that paying student should happen because if we get paid we have more motivation to do the work and have more reasons to do better. Every year 1.2 million people drop out of school because of no motivation. Plus if we save up we can pay for college. If we have motivation we have more control of our grades.
For many people, college is an important key for their future. Some people go to college for the job opportunities and the new windows it can open. Others go just for the education and experience. A good education is beneficial from many different viewpoints; in truth, it is a possibility that one's adult life could be much harder than people care to think. One can have better wealth, is less likely to be unemployed, and a much higher chance of being closer to your family.

That may be true, but students should want to be smarter without getting paid.
Almost any child would work hard for cash. Those are some reasons why kids should get paid for good grades. First of all, students should get paid for having good grades because money for grades provides real, career-like rewards. Hers is a quote from a website called GreatSchools.org. “ Cash for grades programs may jump start motivation by providing real world rewards for their effort and performance.
Here are some reasons why. From pressure to inflate grades, to messing with the development of a child’s intrinsic motivation, to children getting lower academic grades in the long run, kids shouldn’t get paid
Did you know that students can gain over $300 just for doing school work in schools around the U.S.(“Cash for Grades”)? Well, some people think giving money to students can spoil them, but it is clear that cash for grades programs can help students succeed in school. Paying students for their good grades is beneficial because it helps low income students and communities, it can lead to better grades, and it enhances their motivation to succeed. Students should be paid for good grades because low income areas can be strengthened by the extra money. In the article, “Cash for Grades,” it mentions that “Cash-for-grades programs level the playing field for students in poor neighborhoods.
First of all, students should not be paid for good grades due to not needed pressure. The NEA claims : many teachers say, “Paying students for good grades leads to practical problems in their classrooms, including pressure to inflate grades and conflict with students and parents.” This means students are more likely to be in bad moods and have bad relationships with parents and classmates. If some kids get money and the rest don’t, arguments will break out. In a classroom, students are supposed to be respectful to each other in order to have and efficient working environment.
“A neighbor of mine says she pays her child for any A’s the child gets on her report.” In my opinion paying students for good grades is not a good idea. This issue is important because if kids were encouraged by money , eventually the donor of the money would run out of money. Then what would happen? Would kids refuse to go to school?
Students should work towards academic success because they want to, not because they are getting rewarded. The knowledge they earn should be the reward; they’re going to need it in the future. Their only concern will be how much do they have to do to get the incentive. Also, teachers shouldn’t be paid extra every time they do their jobs well. It’s their job to help students earn good grades.
Some parents and teachers prefer intrinsic rewards over extrinsic rewards. Others believe that these kinds of rewards are bribes and that they take away the value of education. This argumentative essay will focus on three key reasons why children should be paid for grades: achievement, motivation, and real world application. Students need to be paid for good grades in school according to how much they have achieved. In Document C, it states that “For students who were closest to the achievement standard, the financial incentives appear to have improved their performance by an average 30-40%.”
We all know in this world not everything is fair. Some are less fortunate and need help, even some kids. So a reason we should pay kids is to help out the struggling children support themselves. 21% of children live in poverty almost 15 million, so if schools paid those kids to do good in school then they wouldn't have to worry about if they don't have enough food because the school would provide for them by paying them.
So while the money may be a present focus to some students they will still be getting the education they need and deserve. Paying students will also acclimatize students to the working world by providing them with early experience with working hard to earn a paycheck. In conclusion, students should be payed to go to school because it creates an incentive to work hard and attend school regularly, it will help decrease residential poverty, and will help students become accustomed to the working
Do you want to get paid by a school just because you have a couple of A’s and B’s. Well if you thought, yes than you should reconsider. Even if you’re giving things for grades it won’t last for long, some kids already would want to learn from nature and parents are just putting their kids up for the stress. People say that giving money is good just to boost grades. Some schools even have teachers or principals paying their students.
I stated three of my top reasons why I believe children should not be paid: children should not get paid for helping with the house work because they won’t get paid for house work when they are adults, getting paid for chores teaches children that housework is something they should want to avoid and finally, money isn't the best reward and it doesn't motivate every child. Parents already take care of their children and that's already spending money. Parents have two pay bills for their children on a daily basis because they take bathes, use electricity,etc... Parents also buy clothes or things their kids want when they want it. Money should not be important to the child because they have their parents love and support and they need to learn to be appreciative of that.
